A career within External Audit services, will provide you with the opportunity to provide a range of Assurance services and business advice to a variety of clients from small, fast growing clients to large entities. Our clients are often well known brands and many have broad international reach. We focus on using the latest technology to reduce the level of manual testing ensuring you’ll focus on the most valuable areas of client service and on enhancing corporate governance and the reliability of our clients’ information.Job Description:
Conducts research on specific accounting and auditing issues
Provides formal and informal consultation/advice on accounting and auditing matters
Performs independent review of financial statements
Develops practice aids/tools and technical publication
Prepares and delivers technical accounting presentation materials for staff and clients
Monitors the activities of the standard setters and prepares briefing material
Prepares comment letter draft to standards and “value added” comment articles for internal and external audiences
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in accounting
Minimum 3 years experience in a professional service firm.
Professional certification (CPA, CA, etc) is preferred
Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP would be an asset; has experience in applying or interpreting US GAAP or IFRS, conducting accounting research, analysis and report writing
Fluency in English (writing and speaking)
Able to work independently as well as in team
Ability to learn and teach technical materials
Strong interest in conducting research, writing articles and publications
Demonstrated ability to work in a multitasked, fast-paced & changing environment
Well developed leadership, organizational, analytical & problem-solving skills
Commitment to provide excellent client service
