Job Description

In this role, you will lead a team and oversee procurement activities in Infineon Batam. You will strategize and drive negotiation with suppliers to achieve greater cost savings for Infineon. As a member of the site procurement management team, you are responsible to review procurement strategies, policies, and procedures to maximize overall operating profit and resources.
In this role, your responsibilities include:
  • Cross-functional supplier management: sourcing, supplier selection, evaluation, manage escalations, and development of key local suppliers. Responsible to ensure the demand/requirements of internal stakeholders are met.
  • Organizational, procedural and process responsibility: adaptation and implementation of efficient procedures and processes to ensure compliance and optimize productivity.
  • Local purchasing strategies: initiation of procurement processes, the definition of approaches to problem-solving, integration of various objectives to secure local site objectives.
  • Planning and controlling of team/individual targets (budget, savings target, etc), Considering market situations and measures, reporting monthly results, and defining counter-actions to ensure objectives fulfillment.
  • People management responsibilities include work allocation, providing guidance through mentoring, and developing the potential of the team.

A self-motivated individual who takes ownership to meet targets under time pressure. You are eager to commit yourself with great determination to Infineon’s results and your own area in procurement. In addition, you pursue ambitious goals and act responsibly to comply with ethical and compliance standards

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
  • A degree preferably in Engineering and/or any Business related fields, with ideally 6+ years of working experience in sourcing and procurement, particularly in leasing and facility management.
  • Strong experience in commercial and contractual negotiations.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to derive cost savings for the site.
  • Possess a good understanding of the full procurement process (operational procurement, vendor management, and strategic procurement).
  • Strong proficiency in English with good communication and presentation skills.
  • Experienced in People management is an advantage
