About the Role
As a Gopay Commercial Accounting Manager, you will support VP of accounting in supervising and ensuring the commercial accounting process and reporting is conducted in an accurate and timely manner. You will also collaborate with other departments/functions to identify and rectify some commercial accounting issues.
What You Will Do
Supervise, direct and review the overall work of commercial accounting team members
Ensure all commercial accounting records are maintained in an accurate and timely manner
Review the monthly management report (including its analysis) for the senior management
Liaise with internal and external parties to serve regulatory and compliance needs (i.e. audit by external financial auditor, audit by Bank Indonesia, due diligence and internal audit)
Collaborate with other functions in identifying and resolving commercial accounting issues
Collaborate with Accounting Project Manager in developing process improvement within the accounting department
Other accounting, administrative duties or financial reports as required by management
What You Will Need
At least 5 years experience at Big 4 Public Accounting Firm is mandatory
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from a reputable university
Fluent in English (Oral and Written)
Solid knowledge of accounting policies/procedures and financial statements
Experience in SAP or other large-scale ERP is preferably
Excellent time and team-management. Ability to prioritize, operate with minimum supervision and manage the team to meet the required deadlines
Willing to work overtime / long hours
About the Team
Our General Accounting team, a sub-pod of the Finance, Accounting and Tax (FAT) team, has 128 team members based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Working alongside the Finance and Financial Planning & Control teams, we manage Gojek accounting processes and consolidation treatment, including establishing an effective and efficient workflow within the accounting team and liaising with the internal and external parties.
As a team, we constantly keep tabs on the ever-dynamic evolution of accounting theory and its daily implementation to deliver qualified financial service products with less friction to our users. Every product is unique and requires a specific accounting assessment at every stage. As geeky as it sounds, we are passionate about identifying and resolving accounting-reporting related issues. Currently, we've been hard at work on aligning our policies and procedures with our global teams, which will help our platform increase its competitiveness in the global market from a financial reporting perspective, and establish more reliable data and a more cohesive financial reporting process.
