QA Process / QA Operation Management

  • Lead the quality planning process of the country operation to achieve quality & organizational KPIs
  • Drive operational matters from a macro and micro-level to scale up and dive into the details to resolve issues quickly. Monitor supplier’s performance closely to develop weekly and monthly work priority plans cascaded subordinates to balance workload and enhance productivity
  • Coach, guide, and train suppliers to execute quality SOPs (new launch/existing)
  • Set guidelines and plan weekly/monthly workload for team to achieve high productivity, closely monitoring on regular basis to ensure the team is on track.
  • Ensure PPM, in line production/quality support processes, are executed on time as per the given protocols
  • Monitor final audit processes and execution via Certified Auditor (CA) program management aligned with the SOPs (qualitative & quantitative achievements)
  • CAP management for non-conformities

Product & Product Safety Management

  • Ensure the product management process is carefully followed and reviewed regularly to meet the required quality and safety of the product
  • Follow up on product risk level matrices and ensure processes are adhered to
  • Provide guidelines to the QA team and to the factory staff to achieve product quality excellence consistently
  • Provide insight to the QA team and the suppliers to solve product quality issues that occurred in the production process (cutting, sewing, packing, placement print, embellishment, etc.)
  • Liaise with the Product Integrity team to achieve product safety requirements in the bulk production
  • Support the executions and follow up for product safety processes as per the product safety manuals / SOPs

Team Development & Cross Functional Activities

  • Provide insight to the top management about the apparel industry of the base country, in the perspective of factory situations, manufacturing trends, strategic developments, capacity expansion projects
  • Lead the team to achieve organizational cooperate goals & support the team to create and achieve individual annual goals
  • Develop the QA team members through mentoring, training, and coaching by identifying individual’s and team’s strengths and development needs
  • Work collaboratively as One Team with Cooperate Social Responsibility, Manufacturing Excellence, Product integrity, and sourcing/merchandising teams.
  • Be flexible to meet assignments and travel requirements to support CGS Quality Objectives
  • Manage and chair the monthly RFT Council meeting with cross-functional teams
  • Report important observations or changes to factory situations regarding management, customer base, equipment investments, capacity expansion, etc.

Required Experience:
  • College graduate or above with minimum of 5-7 years managerial level in garment inspection, kids wear will be highly advantage
  • Proven track record with a progressive career demonstrating leadership skills necessary to manage a dynamic team
  • Familiar with factory technical assessments and CAP management mainly for US/Canada market requirements
  • Technical knowledge in embellishment (placement printing, washing, embroidery), basic paper pattern, and textile / apparel performance testing
  • Experience in woven/knit items, and baby/children wear and product safety matters, preferred
  • Ability to handle management information system tools (ERP/SAP, etc.)
  • Knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of QA/QC
  • Strong leadership, excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
  • Familiar with MS Excel and Outlook
  • Frequent travel to factories is required
