Beam is the largest and fastest growing micromobility startup in APAC, with presence in 5 countries including Malaysia, Thailand, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. We are also the first tri-modal operator with a fleet of e-scooters, e-bikes, and e-mopeds, which enables us to localize effectively in a much wider range of geographies. In Feb 2022, Beam closed a $93M Series B led by private equity firm Affirma Capital, and participated by Sequoia India, and other top tier investors.

Mission:
You will be the first person on the ground for Beam in Indonesia, and be responsible for owning all aspects of launch. This is your chance to run your own “startup within a startup” and build a business from scratch.

Outcomes:
Deploy 1k e-mini-moped DV in Indonesia
Hire 1 OA, 1 CM, 1 GR

About the Role

You will be the first person on the ground for Beam in Indonesia, and be responsible for owning all aspects of launch. This is your chance to run your own “startup within a startup” and build a business from scratch.

Responsibilities

As Beam’s Indonesia Launcher, you will be given massive responsibility from day 1. You will lead the charge by introducing Beam’s newest vehicles and technologies to cities all over Indonesia, signing up our first customers to the Beam app, localizing the product, and ultimately managing millions of dollars worth of vehicle assets.

You’ll gain exposure to ground operations (we love to get our hands dirty), hiring + blitz scaling a team, driving multi-million dollar strategic investment decisions - all while helping improve cities all over Indonesia by reducing congestion, reducing pollution, and lowering the cost of mobility for the mass market.

Requirements

Down to earth operator: willingness to get hands dirty
Ability to work in fluid environments
Creative + proactive problem solver
Persuasive communicator - you’ll need to be an evangelist for a service that customers, communities, and regulators have never seen before in Indonesia
Strong analytics + data driven decision maker
Language proficiency: Native Bahasa Indonesian, Fluent English
4-8 years of experience preferred
Consulting / IBD + operating background preferred
