Job Description


BROAD FUNCTIONS:
Join a team of equipment technicians to perform new machines installation. This includes all the preparation work for machine arrival, machine move in, decontamination, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Also work together with process technicians until machine is released to production.

RESPONSIBILITIES :
Regular:

  • Work closely with Equipment Engineer on machine installation planning and scheduling
  • Perform machine installation as per schedule and report its progress
  • Conduct toolbox briefing for vendors and escort vendors coming in and out of production floor
  • Ensure proper housekeeping at installation site is always maintained
  • Always follow cleanroom protocol to avoid cross contaminations
  • Perform Site Acceptance Test on new equipment for machine buyoff
  • To generate and conduct training to the manufacturing operators
  • Perform machine hardware installation and troubleshooting
  • Ensure installation site is following Safety and Health compliance
  • Liaise with facility team for machine utilities requirement and hook up
  • Work with Process and Equipment Engineers on improvement project and cost saving project
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure activities completion within targeted timeframe
  • Check spare parts availability to ensure always adequate for machine sustaining
  • Provide guidance to fellow technicians for all machine related issues.

Irregular (if any):

  • Traveling to other Western Digital site or supplier site to provide support for machine related issues.
  • Working overtime or during off days if required
  • Support other installation team if extra manpower needed

Qualifications
  • Diploma or Certificate in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Mechatronic Engineering

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting equipment and machine
  • Intermediate knowledge in electrical wiring, PLC system, control system, pneumatics system, actuators, sensors, and their working principals
  • Understand the risks associates in working with high voltage electrical system
  • Knowledge in PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and their usage
  • Good commands in English
  • Only for Indonesian Citizens
