Your responsibilities will include:

As part of an ongoing commitment to improve our business functions and expand our international footprint, there is now an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Country Manager to elevate relationships with the Indonesian government whilst leading, identify & develop strong relations with the key government stakeholders and managing the in-country team. This position is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Reporting to the Regional Director, South East Asia, this role operates as the Head-of-Office and central Point-of-Contact for Lockheed Martin GBD in Indonesia to ensure the establishment, implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures to the highest ethical standards for activities conducted in Indonesia.

Your responsibilities will also include (not limited to):
  • Identify and develop strong relations with the key government stakeholders to ensure a win-win environment is created for Lockheed Martin and our customers and stakeholders.
  • Champion OneLM mindset and the International Operating Model and advocate for LM’s position and interests through active membership in relevant industry organisations.
  • Develop GBD Indonesia’s strategic plans and execution initiatives; and partner with LM business areas and teams to drive business growth.
  • Lead the development of long-term strategic customer and industry relationships in Indonesia and coordinate with GBD Regional Director/leadership to ensure alignment with broader LM international strategy and long-range plan.
  • Create competitive advantages through new initiatives and creative business models that exceed customer and partner expectations while generating profitable growth.
  • Provide LM Business Areas with a clear understanding of customer needs and expectations in terms of capabilities, technologies, requirements and their impact on capture/contract content and delivery.

About you:

Our ideal candidate will have extensive senior leadership experience in international business, customer relations or government affairs (program management, business development, military leadership roles provide viable avenues toward this role). You will have skills/demonstrated experience in:
  • Managing and leading international business organisation within Indonesia.
  • Proven ability to engage industrial partners and stakeholders to developing innovative business models and new business initiatives that deliver competitive advantages.
  • Ability to select, structure and lead engagements with outside consultants to deliver new insights and competitive value to the corporation.
  • Develop and manage key relationships with customers, industry executives and key stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex organisational issues and manage competing interests of multiple stakeholders to deliver strategic outcomes with broad enterprise support.
  • Advanced business acumen and expertise in data collection and analysis, market segmentation, forecasting, business portfolio analysis, decision support, strategy formulation and strategic planning.
  • Experience working with major US defence companies and experience in Foreign Military Sales and Direct Commercial Sales are highly desirable.
