Your future role

Austin has an exciting permanent full-time employment opportunity for a suitably qualified Maintenance Supervisor at our purpose-built manufacturing facility in Batam, Indonesia. Reporting to the Operation Manager, this role will ensure that Austin drives resources, activities and programs that align with Austin’s organisational strategy and operational requirements.

Role duties

  • Generate weekly Maintenance plans, considering projection of equipment usage, balance of resources (Labour), materials, steel, profiling, spare parts and facilities maintenance undertakings.
  • Integrate the weekly plan with that of manufacturing, support the assignment of the times planned in the ERP or maintenance planning tool and the sequence of them in conjunction with other planned work.
  • Daily interaction with the execution of the weekly plan.
  • Update of the daily plan according to the real outcome of the maintenance to equipment.
  • Analysis of deviations and generation of action plans with respect to compliance with the weekly plans.
  • Analysis of the effectiveness of the planned tasks: Real execution time vs Planned time.
  • Analysis to improve the increase of the planned vs. corrective tasks.
  • Development and implementation of Task List for repairs according to history.
  • Analysis of use and optimization of the maintenance workforce and specialised contractors.
  • List the restoration tasks of components and parts and include them in the weekly plan.
  • Analysis of maintenance tasks to identify opportunities for improvement due to rework, recurrence of repairs in specific areas of the equipment, production downtime due to unscheduled maintenance or repair.
  • Information quality management, development and KPI’s analysis of the service.
  • Support in the development of equipment maintenance strategies.
  • Preventive maintenance plan for support equipment
  • Follow-up and updating plan of technical reviews, certifications, etc., of support equipment: e.g. cranes, forklifts, EWPs, other mobile plant, fixed plant and portable equipment as determined by local laws, regulations, International Standards and Austin Engineering internal requirements.
  • Elaboration of costs, rates, and budgets (manufacturing, repair and maintenance of components).
  • Assist with the annual budget by providing information to finance department and / or GM.
  • Strictly manager the maintenance budget without compromise to service or safety, health environment or product quality.
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS & LICENCES
  • Maintenance related or Engineering trade qualifications or Maintenance/Engineering degree qualifications are considered essential.
SKILLS & EXPERTISE
  • Trained and or certified in maintenance software would be considered advantageous
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal will be highly regarded
  • Extensive knowledge of and experience working in heavy manufacturing industries. Preferably minimum 5 years.
  • Demonstratable experience with specific maintenance requirements of heavy press machinery, rollers, overhead travel cranes, welding machines including robotic welders, gougers, associated small electrical tools, all forms of lifting gear and general facilities maintenance.
  • Understanding and experience of financial management as it relates to the maintenance of equipment and working to a maintenance plan. Demonstratable understanding of the impact of financial planning and the connection to preventative maintenance programs.
  • Intermediate to Advanced skills with Microsoft software packages including MS Project.
  • Exposure to, or experience with leading and implementing 5S systems.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and provide exemplary customer service.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with outstanding resilience.
  • Willing to work the necessary hours to improve safety across all shifts, and able to work under pressure. Able to work independently in daily execution.
