When you join team Caterpillar as a Logistics Analyst, you will perform operational and tactical work to meet plant logistics deliverables.
What Will You Do:
Working under the direction of Logistics Manager, ensure material is shipped, received, stored, or delivered quickly and efficiently. Perform tasks to improve inbound and outbound material flow. Using the Caterpillar Production System (CPS) Guiding Principles.
Participate and or lead continuous improvement projects.
Execute demand and supply for Trading Reman Finished Goods with Caterpillars and Dealer.
Execute demand and supply for Manufacturing Reman Finished Goods.
Manage import/export permits and making sure the day-to-day process follow regulations, laws, statutory and Enterprise Procedures or Policies.
Manage material to Plan for Every Part (PFEP) and defined flow paths.
Recommend and deploy material movement using defined transportation options.
Support efforts to improve carrier quality and container scheduling and availability.
Report and analyst Inventory counts as needed.
Investigate root causes and perform corrective action to resolve transportation issues. File carrier loss and damaged freight claims and monitor, analyze and perform root cause corrective actions to resolve freight non-compliance issues.
Provides tactical management for inventory levels and the daily operations.
Schedule supplier deliveries by common carrier and administers returnable container programs. Performs tasks that support carrier collaboration, smooth operation of milk runs, coordination of third-party logistics services, plant site material logistics, and managing supermarkets and kitting processes.
Responsible for optimizing material flow throughout the plant site, ensuring availability of needed resources, to include operating personnel and material handling equipment, always working to eliminate traffic bottlenecks.
What We Need from You:
Proficient in English language.
Minimum of bachelor’s degree related to Supply Chain.
Minimum of two years of supply chain or logistics or related field job experience.
Experience in warehouse or logistics operations in handling inventory record accuracy.
Understand or have experience in Export/Import.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Top Candidate Will Also Have:
Experience in SAP or Tableau software.
APICS CPIM or CSPC Certification desired.
Knowledge and understanding of 6 Sigma project management principles.
Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organization and communication skills.
