About the Role

As the Business lead for Retail, Commerce, Lifestyle category, you will shape the strategy needed to accelerate the growth of GoPay acceptance in various categories ie. Marketplace, Fashion, Travel, Gaming, Entertainment. You’ll handle end-to-end business initiatives, from analyzing consumer behavior, developing business plans, managing the P&L of the business, to executing the Go-To-Market strategy for the production solutions to tackle the users’ pain points. Working with the talented folks in the Sales, Partnership, Product, and Marketing teams, you’ll deliver a solid business strategy and execution plan, taking full ownership of the category’s P&L.
What You Will Do
Be the captain of the entire business ship of Retail & Commerce categories in GoPay; this means you will be responsible for overall P&L results of the business
Identify market opportunities and develop actionable strategies to grow GoPay acceptance on various Retail & Commerce use-cases (ie. Marketplace, Fashion, etc).
Orchestrate cross-functional teams, such as product, growth, marketing, and partnership, in the efforts to win the consumer payments market
Analyze how the business is performing from top-line metrics (ie. TPV, MTU) to bottom-line (ie. Contribution margin)
Own the audience, know the metrics and insights, identify users’ problems, and translate the insights into actionable and quantifiable actions to grow the business
Work closely with the marketing team to create the most relevant GTM strategies and decide which channels to utilize to reach the right target audience
Work with the Sales team to acquire and activate merchant partners
Work with the Product team to translate consumer and merchant partner needs into the product roadmap
Work within the larger GoTo ecosystem to leverage the multiple use-cases (ie. GoFood, GoRide, GoCar, GoPlay)
Be the “Master of Goalkeeper” (aka the project leader); own the responsibility to your own ideas, execute the growth plans, and unite various departments to walk with you to finish your missions
What You Will Need
At least 8 years of experience of growing and scaling a consumer-facing business as a business manager, growth, product marketing, or product manager
Strong problem solving capabilities in order to lead the team through holistic problem-solving sessions
Ability to work confidently and comfortably with multiple internal and external stakeholders, gaining their buy-in and ensuring everyone’s on the same page
A data-driven work ethic in order to generate actionable insights from data and numbers combined with on-the-ground research
A passion for retail & commerce categories

The Pod Leader is the general manager of one of our four core business lines or GoPay use cases. Pod Leaders are responsible for setting the overall cross-functional strategy to achieve results for their particular payment use case (e.g. commerce, food & grocery, lifestyle & entertainment, or transportation). These leaders are responsible for guiding the execution across a diverse team of both direct reports and indirect reports, including partnerships & sales, marketing, growth, product & engineering, etc.
