Summary:

The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 number of hours per week).


Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (4 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties

The incumbent assists the Hang-Jebat Warehouse supervisor with non-expendable, residential appliance operations, with appliance-properties valued at approximately $200,000 for US Embassy Jakarta and Consulate Medan. Reviews consumer reports, makes comparisons, and recommends to the warehouse supervisor the best appliances to order. The incumbent helps to receive, restock, deliver, reorder, maintain records, conduct and communicate with customers the appliances preventative maintenance best practices to maximize appliance lifecycle and utilization. Leads small teams in the day-to-day customer orders and stock deliveries; helps track appliance replenishment orders with the procurement section; conducts appliances spot checks and recommends disposals activities to the warehouse supervisor; and, performs other warehouse duties as the supervisor instructs.


Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: two years of property management experience in warehousing and general administrative work experience.

Education Requirements:

  • Completion of Secondary School or Local Mandatory Schooling and received high school diploma.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE (this may be tested): Level III (Good Working Knowledge) speaking/reading/writing in English and Bahasa Indonesia.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


  • Computer literate in Office basic software:

    • MS Excel (very important) - Ability use Excel spreadsheets for property filters, sorts to make reorder/purchase recommendations.

    • MS Word

    • PowerPoint

    • Office Email

  • Must be able to perform moderately heavy work and make heavy lifts at times.

  • Must be able to operate forklift and material handling equipment. (this may be tested)

  • Must be able to drive big truck/heavy vehicle/forklift and possess type B-1 driver's license. (this may be tested)

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Bi-Mission to Indonesia and ASEAN in Jakarta, may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.


For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.


The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.

COVID-19 Requirements for Eligible Family Members

As required by Executive Order 14043, Eligible Family Members who will be employed on a Family Member Appointment (FMA) or a Temporary Appointment (TEMP) are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 regardless of the employee’s duty location or work arrangement (e.g., telework, remote work, etc.), subject to such exceptions as required by law.
