About the Role

Referral Sales in Midtrans plays an important role to build, execute, and maintain partnerships with the biggest web developers, aggregators, and ecosystem partners in the company’s portfolio. You will lead the Partnerships Department from end-to-end management and execution of all partnerships' contractual assets that help drive the company's key business goals. If hired, you will lead a team of 5-6 people, and you will directly report to the Head of Business, who reports to the Head of Merchant Payments in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a rapidly growing organization.


What You Will Do

    • Develop the overall strategy for the third-party partner portfolio and get sign-off by senior leadership,
    • Ensure the team is implementing the correct go-to-market strategies required to achieve the business goals,
    • Review, challenge and sign off the Partnership Plans proposed by the managers,
    • Support negotiation and enforcement of the partner's trade terms,
    • Establish an appropriate organizational framework for the Referral Sales organization jointly with the Gojek Sales organization,
    • Monitor all partnership activities to identify problems, create solutions and guidelines, and produce accurate reporting on both regular and ad-hoc bases,
    • Lead a team of Senior Managers, Managers, and Executives - up to 5-6 headcounts,
    • Plan and present reports on partnership progress, goals, and periodic initiatives to regularly share with senior leaders and peers.

What You Will Need

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Sales, Communication or related academic area
    • At least 8 years of experience in business management, sales, or project management as mandatory. Prior experience in e-commerce and managing key accounts will be a plus point
    • Prior experience in managing people/team is mandatory
    • Fluency in both written and spoken Bahasa and English is required
    • Ability to think analytically and strategically, multitask, negotiate, persuade and influence others
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and analytical skills
    • Advanced reporting and computer skills, and experience with CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on superior Excel and Powerpoint skills
    • Proven ability to maintain projects and maintain effective relations with internal stakeholders
About the Team

Our Payments team oversees GoPay (Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing consumer payments and financial services app), as well as Midtrans (one of Indonesia’s largest payment gateways), and Spots (Indonesia’s largest offline network for payments). Our Merchant Payments team is part of the larger Payments platform, and consists of passionate engineers based in Jakarta, Singapore, and Gurgaon. We run Southeast Asia’s leading financial platform for online and onsite merchants. It's our job to oversee all things related to empowering business owners, and to create a seamless and efficient payment gateway solution. We also take the time to understand our merchant-partners daily concerns and experiences in order to cater our services to resolve any hurdles and expand their operations. The big question that we’re always trying to solve is: How can we better improve our digital experience for our merchants-partners. We've helped simplify payments for over 300,000 merchant-partners in our respective regions - from retail stores in town to your favorite Gorengan and Martabak stalls. But, the growth of Payments does not stop here. We are hungry for more. We intend to become the largest payment and financial services group in Southeast Asia. We are working on several projects now, including one about enhancing direct interaction with our merchant-partners of a variety of businesses and their customers.
