Job Overview:

Provide supportive role to Facility HSES Manager or Project HSES Lead/Manager including Supervision of some HSES roles as above in the performance of their functions. Monitoring HSES procedures is implemented throughout the facility and or on project and ensuring HSES Activities Plan is carried out on timely manner.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Understand company philosophy and policy regarding Occupational Health, Safety and Environment.
  • Have a sound knowledge of Indonesia Statutory HSES Regulations and industry HSES standards and the implementation.
  • Actively promote the HSES education and personal career development plan for personnel under his/her supervision.
  • Ensure that company HSES policies and procedures are implemented consistently and effectively and are known and understood by all employees.
  • Ensure any revision on policies and procedures are communicated to all personnel.
  • Highlighting the HSES information thru HSES notice boards and discussion at HSES meetings.
  • Coordinate all inter-related matters between the HSES Committee, the Management Committee and Line Management.
  • Review of Task Risk Assessment (TRA)
  • Liaise with the HSES Manager/HSES Coordinator and ensure uniform application of HSES Procedures and HSES performance measurement.
  • Deliver QHSES training when required.
  • Conduct HSES audit when required.
  • Regularly inspect the work areas to identify unsafe acts and conditions and advise line-management of those that cannot by immediately be corrected.
  • Provide meaningful advice to line-management on HSES matters including legislative and industry standards.
  • Investigate the causes of incidents; provide effective recommendation actions and complete final reports in a timely manner.
  • Managing HSES Advisors, schedule for areas of daily inspection, develop on duty roster.
  • Monitor all construction activities identify and assist yard management to establish methods to correct any safety, health or environmental issues in accordance with company policy.
  • Develop a working relationship with all line supervision with the aim of obtaining understanding on both sides of yard management requirements, this to include keeping safety equal with production and other responsibilities.
  • Be prepared to immediately respond in the event of calls for emergency assistance.
  • Assist initiates a medical of sick or injured employees.
  • Inform the HSES Manager/Project HSES Lead immediately when an incident occurs. The respective PTMI client representative shall be notified immediately in the absence of the Project HSES Lead/Manager.
  • Following up corrective actions status with the relevant personnel.
  • Compile useful information for Tool Box Safety meetings, newsletters and Bulletins.
  • Participate and provide input in HSES Meetings
  • Conduct HSES assessments for project and facility, ensure report provided and assist the Area in the facility inspection program.
  • Assume the duties of HSES Manager/Lead in his absence.
  • Spend a minimum 60% of time in the field monitoring overall compliance of the yard HSES Program and Procedures.
  • Review the performance of all HSES programs and initiatives and provide reports.
  • Ensuring company comply with the Indonesian Regulation, Corporate and Other standard and codes of OHS and provide input if any regulation change.
  • Liaise with the HSES Compliance group in ensuring the Activity Plan is carried out on timely manner.
  • Communicate the updated HSES Procedure to supervisor's level.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and set an example to other.
  • Mentor, assess and counsel direct reports as required.
  • Liaise with client personnel in making sure project HSES expectation is met and the requirements are implemented.
  • High standard of safe working practice, disciplined, quality and productivity as well as compliance with the code of business conducts.

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Under graduated Degree / Senior High School
  • Min 5 Years Experienced in HSES.
  • Ahli K3 Umum certified
