Hotel Overview

Situated in Senayan Square at the South end of Jakarta's Central Business District, Fairmont Jakarta will feature 380 spacious guestrooms and 108 Fairmont branded suites. Additional features and amenities to the urban hotel include a number of lounges and several restaurants featuring a variety of culinary offerings. For corporate events and local galas, the hotel features 3,500 square meters of function space, including a1,200 square meter ballroom.

What you will be doing:

  • Recognises good quality products and presentation
  • Assist the Chef de Partie & Demi Chef in the production of the mis-en-place for the elaboration of all menus according to standard recipes
  • Attends meetings and training sessions organized by the Hotel management for the position
  • To achieve high quality production all over cost control
  • Manages time effectively, by meeting deadlines on time
  • Assist the Chef de Partie in the production and distribution of food items according to requirement
  • Ensures that the workplace and storage areas remain clean and tidy, and the safety of consumable goods by always respecting HACCP regulations


Your experience and skills include:

  • Encourage potential and apprentice chefs in their work, offering guidance in accordance with culinary standards, recipes and menu
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Ability to work on flexible shift including overnight, weekends and holiday on rotation basis
  • Ability to work on overtime when needed on standing and walking throughout shift
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
