Key responsibilities

  • Verifies accuracy of inbound and outbound shipping documents
  • Supports the Customer Service and Yard Operations teams with data entry, reporting and customer communication
  • Coordinates documentation for incoming freight
  • Monitors and tracks incoming containers and inventory accuracy
  • Interacts with brokers, other departments, and the customer on a daily basis to communicate on status of freight and resolve pending issues
  • Provides constant communication with Customer Service and Operations to ensure the schedule of the day’s activity with containers is met
  • Ensures that the following day’s plan is discussed and followed
  • Any deviation to the plan should be communicated in a timely manner
  • Maintains direct contact with the customer on data integrity issues
  • Handles/assists with data changes and/or updates
  • Monitors equipment pools
  • Coordinates invoice/billing activities
  • Assists in planning/scheduling of container/trailer movement
  • Prepares financial and performance reports
  • Provides administrative systems support
  • Conducts weekly Inventory cycles, cycle counts, reconciles counts
  • Reconciles and coordinates all activates related to the return of mis- shipped freight, customer refusals OS&D
  • Identifies and reconciles inventory discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Maintains inventory reports and logs
  • Checks freight for accurate paperwork
  • Appraises Supervisor and Customer Service Manager of any non-compliant freight
  • Verifies all freight pulls, transfers, and movement of freight and orders
  • Assists in planning inbound and outbound loads

We are looking for

  • Good communications skills
  • Experienced in contract logistics
  • Transport management skills
  • Familiar in using MS Office Suite – MS Excel
  • Data oriented and customer oriented mindset
