SUMMARY

We are looking for a people-oriented individual to join us as a Culture Specialist to create a tailored and authentic employee experience - the kind that gets you out of bed even on a rainy Monday. The key to this role is ensuring that employees feel welcomed, inspired and motivated to deliver their goals whether they are working on-site or remotely. You will also be required to play an active role in shaping the culture of the organisation by providing a collaborative and inclusive working environment. The role reports to the Internal Communications and Culture Assistant Manager.

A DAY IN A LIFE

As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:

  • Coordinate and seek opportunities for internal engagement initiatives and projects to increase productivity, enhance wellbeing and foster an inclusive working culture.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create a welcoming and inclusive work space for #TeamTeleport.

  • Lead the new hire onboarding process which includes conducting onboarding sessions, coordinating office tours, organizing learning workshops and gathering feedback.

  • Lead the operations of office facilities including maintenance, renovation projects and relocation projects.

  • Act as gatekeeper for overall office inventory including company merchandise and onboarding kits.

At the onset, you may be culture-shocked working in AirAsia and with the Teleport team. To help you adapt better, we would like to share our beliefs on leadership. Put simply, you are a leader, we all are leaders and good leaders:

  • Roll up their sleeves as needed, and never delegate work that one would not be willing to do themselves.

  • Do what is needed to get things done, as they believe speed is more important than anything else to effect change.

  • Over communicate, particularly as they are all quite autonomous.

  • Take care of our staff, and treat them as they would want to be treated.

  • Are rigid on goals, but flexible on the details.

SKILLS

These are minimum-requirement skills and a ‘must-have’ for the role:

  • Someone with a calling for spreading good vibes and passion for creating an awesome employee experience.

  • Deeply care for people and willing to go the extra mile to build a community.

  • Resourceful with excellent organisational skills and are brave to challenge the status quo.

  • Proven ability to plan and execute company-wide initiatives with minimal supervision.

  • Comfortable managing a range of internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience streamlining business processes to improve efficiency.

  • Nice-to-have: Experience working with building management teams, contractors and government agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 2-4 years of experience; community management is a plus
