Reporting and accountable to the MD/CVP – Indonesia, the Vice President, Human Resources, is responsible for all HR compliance within the Indonesian country, ensuring that the delivery, management, recruitment, and retention of human resources are safe, secure, consistent and professional according to all regulatory requirements of the governments and internal business policies and procedures. The role works collaborative with all levels of leadership within the business to ensure that all rules and regulations as mandated by the business and/or pertinent regulatory authorities are being met. This role acts as the Indonesian Government requirement for HR activities oversight by an Indonesian national


Candidate requirements

  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with central HR, and all team members regardless of role.
  • Remain up to date and ensure compliance with relevant workplace legislation and Company requirements.
  • Coordination of recruitment for the company including managing the process end-to-end ensuring efficiency and best outcomes.
  • Managing the induction process, ensuring team members are welcomed to the Company and aware of their role within it.
  • Providing advice and guidance to department managers on human resource policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that disciplinary and performance management process are prompt and in accordance with all policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of company policies, including local policies where required.
  • Interpretation of industrial agreements and legislative frameworks for all team members as required.
  • Recording and reporting of HR statistics in accordance with required timeframes.
  • Prepare and issue documents including employment contracts, termination documents, job descriptions, letters and memos.
  • Overall responsibility for training compliance and delivery
  • Make recommendations for, and develop, succession planning to ensure business continuity and ‘right people in the right role'
  • Develop effective employee communication ensuring mechanisms for two-way feedback are in place and feedback is acted upon
  • Suggest and implement technology solutions that support efficient and effective team management
  • Preparation of weekly and monthly reports HR activities.
  • Preparing and implement any improvement or development plans while working in close cooperation with station management within the Indonesia Region.
  • Providing operational safety recommendations to the MD/VP of Indonesia as identified through analytical processes.
  • Promote a culture of safe working within the Company.
  • Be available to travel as and when required

Safety, Security and Compliance

  • Take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and of others who may be affected by their actions or omissions whilst at work.
  • Co-operate with their manager / supervisor in order to allow them to perform or comply with any legal requirements imposed on the company.
  • Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided by the company in the interests of health, safety or welfare reasons.
  • Inform their manager / supervisor of any work situation, equipment or activity that represents a serious or immediate danger to health and safety.
  • Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents or dangerous occurrences to their manager / supervisor, who will then follow the procedures contained in this manual.
  • Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
  • Fully understand the company health and safety policy.
  • Attend training courses as may be arranged by the Company.
  • Engage with MORSE and follow our code principles.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required,
  • Masters or law degree an advantage
  • At least 5 years of human resource management experience required, with strategic, talent
  • management, and/or business development experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
  • Experience of recruitment best practice with the capability to initiate change and process improvement
  • Relevant management qualification/degree preferably with an HR specialization
  • A positive and flexible approach
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Capable of delivering information with a high level of detail and accuracy
  • Able to use initiative and work independently in a busy environment, multi discipline environment
  • Manage sensitive and confidential information
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office
  • A leader with the ability to drive solutions, including efficiency and cost control within a complex business
  • Confident in influencing business managers
  • Works well under stress with the ability to deliver on time
  • Proven track record of meeting commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both oral and written) and able to present and influence at all levels.
  • Professional written and verbal fluency in English and Bahasa is required.
  • Must be an Indonesian national with the right to work in Indonesia.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and self-leadership.
  • Ability to travel within Indonesia and the region when required and in accordance with business needs.
