About Our Client

Our client is a leading EPC company, a market leader in its sector. In line with their expanding business structure and exciting development plan, a great opportunity has become available for a vibrant and talented professional to join this organization, as the Project Procurement Manager who will be heading the Material Procurement function

Job Description

Representing Procurement in Project Management
Check and sign vendor performance evaluation
Endorse PO Approval Sheet
Establishing Project Procurement Procedure
Establishing Commercial Part of RFQ documents and Project Specific Terms and Conditions
Ensuring timely issuance of MRS Package and SAP PR
Monitoring and ensuring updating of Procurement Status Report / PO Plan
Coordination with other departments (engineering, QA, construction, PMT and others) for ensuring seamless
procurement process
Distributing PO plan to SCM
Monitoring and ensuring updating of Expediting Status Report
Coordination with logistic team for shipment of material

The Successful Applicant

An ideal candidate will come with at least 10 years' experience in project procurement having managed tender evaluation and supplier negotiation
Willing to be hired in 1 year contract basis, with opportunity to be promoted as permanent based on the performance
Good communication skills in English
The person must exhibit strong commercial and contractual awareness and excellent negotiation skills
Good technical orientation and a flair to understand the technical specifications to challenge suppliers on the total cost of ownership is desirable
The person will be responsible for establishing a domestic supplier base and driving strategic sourcing
Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills with staff, clients and vendors are essential
Extensive experience in Large Global Capital Projects in various execution modes and contract negotiation
Excellent negotiation and analytical skills
