  • Manage and coordinate new product developments for Engine, Gas Turbine and any other Donaldson products lines by establishing test parameters, PPAP requirements and other related release and product conformance process and information.
  • Establish and execute roadmap for product design and development cycle to meet specification, cost and time to market.
  • Responsible for investigation of product related issues and provide necessary reports on issues, and actions to resolve and prevent the reoccurrence of the issues.
  • Ensure implementation of Donaldson Engineering Change Orders for products produced my DIJV.
  • Support localization, cost reduction, and Product and Application Support work
Organization Chart
  • Report to Engine PEG Manager and SEA Engine Sales and Product Director.
  • Co-work with Local sales TM’s and SAM’s.
  • Supported by Marketing and Product Team both SEA and Globally.
Key Accountabilities
  • Lead or support APD Product Developments ensuring that New Part Releases undergo necessary Test Procedures in accordance to the Performance Certification Sheet prepared by DIJV and that the Production Part Approval Process is done in accordance to procedure and timeline.
  • Participate in all phases of the new product development including design development, prototyping, testing to technical implementation, etc.
  • Participate in setting goals, objectives and priorities for product development and new product release.
  • Arrange and coordinate New Part Development meetings with DIJV as required and provide updates with the necessary data and reports to supervisor (PEG Manager).
  • Co-prepare Failure Analysis Reports and 8D Reports with Quality Engineer for the closure of product related issues (CAPA) and proposals on product and process corrective and improvement actions.
  • Monitor the implementation of issued Donaldson Engineering Change Orders to DIJV production.
  • Ensure compliance of policies and procedures necessary to meet Donaldson quality standards while maintaining cost competitiveness.
  • Co-lead, with the Quality Engineer, the annual audit and review of procedures for product quality assurance and improving of production process, and implement corrective actions, if any.
  • Participate in quarterly review of team support for technical customer complaints (CCR/CAPA) and take corrective actions, as appropriate, for improving customer satisfaction.
  • Preparation and on-time submission of required reports, e.g. Monthly Engine PEG report, QBR report, etc.
  • Participate in regular meetings to update management on direction and to solicit response on work-related issues and concerns.
  • Perform documentation works such as ensuring proper filing of Quality and New Product Release documentations and upkeeping and updating of important data, documentation and other company information related to DIJV production.
  • Maintain good inter-company and interpersonal relationship and to engage in regular communication with key product staff in other Donaldson entities, keeping up-to-date with new developments and strategic direction in other countries.
  • Provide product and application engineering support to Engine Customers
  • Involve in Training and Technical Workshop internal and external parties.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor to support the Engine Business.
Key Qualifications & Requirements Education Qualification:
  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Civil or Chemical Engineering, or its equivalent.
Technical Competence & Skills:
  • Technically inclined.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Organized.
  • Ability to effectively present ideas and communicate with team members within & outside SEA organization.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and ability to speak confidently & effectively before groups of customers or other Donaldson persons.
  • Proficiency on MS Excel, MS Word, MS, Outlook, MS Access and MS PowerPoint.
  • IT savvy.
  • Ability to understand engineering documentation like drawings, technical specification sheets, Bill of Materials, flow diagrams etc.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000:2000 / TS16949, PFMEA, APQP, PPAP, SPC (Statistical Process Control).
  • Knowledge of process, system and product audit.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Solidworks or any other CAD tools will be a plus.
  • Basic understanding of engine operations, knowledge of heavy equipment/machineries will be a plus.
Relevant Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing and /or engineering environment.
Others (% of travel, language, etc.):
  • Effective written and verbal skills in English Language are mandatory.
  • Ability to perform occasional travel
