Summary:The work schedule for this position is:
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within 4 weeks of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
The incumbent reports to the Safety Program Coordinator. The incumbent is employed as journeymen level of Safety and Health Technician to carry out skilled maintenance and repair works, inspection and testing on the safety and health related equipment and systems throughout the Embassy compound functional or office buildings and residential buildings, and other owned or leased properties.
Familiarization of general electrical and mechanical systems, including air quality monitoring equipment and water testing systems and processes.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three (3) years of journey-level experience in the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical systems, preferably related with health equipment and measurement. Work experience demonstrated progression of increased responsibilities.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Must have technical understanding of general safety inspection for the office and residential properties, general building electrical, mechanical, HVAC and plumbing systems. Must be familiar with safety and health related equipment such as air quality monitoring, water testing equipment and procedures, general construction and workplace safety practice

Evaluations:LANGUAGE: This is mandatory requirement and it will be tested.
English - Basic knowledge in speaking, writing and listening
Bahasa - Good working knowledge in speaking, writing and listening
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The incumbent must be skilled at reading and interpreting technical documents including layout drawings, as-built drawings, riser diagrams, equipment schedules, operations and maintenance manuals, and other manufacturer’s literature. The incumbent shall have the skills and abilities in the following areas: water filtration systems, testing domestic water system components, taking equipment readings with various meters; use of hand tools, power tools, and specialty tools to determine appropriate repairs, operation and maintenance of air quality monitoring systems. Additional abilities include responding to emergency situations in an efficient and timely manner to effect immediate repairs; work in various adverse conditions such as tight or enclosed spaces, on ladders at various heights, and in temperature extremes, indoors or outdoors to complete work assignments; communicate orally and in writing with co-workers, contractors and vendors to obtain and provide pertinent information. Must be computer literate, able to navigate through the Microsoft Office Suite software including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point; able to draft reports and create spreadsheets, and able to write e-mails and research information on the Internet. A valid driver’s license is required. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to handle a large workload and multiple tasks. Must be organized.

COVID-19 Requirements for Eligible Family Members
