Manage the relationship between the company and employee representative bodies, ensuring constructive dialogue, open communication and that value is created both for company and its employees.   • Ensure that the Maersk values and principles for ER are considered in connection to new initiatives, changes to the working environment, employment terms & conditions, strategic initiatives, etc.
  • Work closely with HRBP’s to support them in defining the approach and ER strategy for managing relationships with Employee Representative bodies and Unions linking it to the strategic business priorities.
  • Ensure open and transparent communication with our employees and employee representative bodies, driving constructive dialogue and build trusting relationships to create long-term value.
  • Identify implications between business strategy, priorities and specific initiatives on one hand and employee relations landscape on the other. Collaborate with leaders and HR on site to address these.
  • Manage consultation processes with unions & works councils, in close collaboration with local HR, Operations and other relevant Functions/ Departments.
  • Manage collective bargaining in accordance with ER principles and governance.
  • Ensure professional labour negotiations.
  • Manage industrial actions in consultation with Regional ER Lead and GER.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant collective local labour law and regulations & standards.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant company governance frameworks, such as ER Commit rule, and adherence to the Global Employee Relations Framework.
  • Collaborate with the People Partnering organisation to ensure the implementation and communication of any agreements into relevant local processes and policies.
  • Depending on scope of the role (local/ regional), deliver M&A due diligence on employment law on regional or local M&A projects, incl. by working closely with the Regional HR Integration Management Lead, HRBP, legal counsel, and other stakeholders, as relevant. Ensure that the (frontline) leaders in the organization develop ER-capabilities, in order to be able to properly manage ER in daily operations.
