About the Role
At Gojek, engineering is central to everything we do: bringing our ideas to life and into the life of our users. As a Senior QA engineer for GoFin, you'll take the wheel in identifying weak spots and constantly designing more efficient ways to break software within the Insurance and Investment Platform. Along with creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases, you’ll also design, develop, and execute automation scripts, as well as build and implement an extensive testing process for the team to follow. In collaboration with GoFin Quality Engineers, you will get to work on developing QA solutions that drive our team’s overall productivity, and be an integral part of a team that works towards improving Insurance and Investment throughout Southeast Asia and beyond.


What You Will Do

    • Attend daily stand up meetings, conduct sprint planning/backlog reviews, and communicate project/development status to internal and external teams in a timely fashion
    • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases; design new and enhance existing test suites based on business requirements
    • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open source tools
    • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet the team’s daily needs, and conduct feature and exploratory tests on different platform
    • Work closely with the Product team, including PMs, Designers, Developers, and QA managers right from the inception of features
    • Execute the test cases and report any issues to relevant stakeholders
    • Own the quality and delivery of features
    • Automate test cases and reduce manual efforts during regression testing

What You Will Need

    • A deep understanding of unit testing concepts and source codes (and if met with a complex hurdle, you're able to find solutions from online sources)
    • Deep understanding of manual & automation test methodologies and principles; capable of creating testing scenarios/testing script
    • Experience in working with Web, Mobile and API Testing for both manual & automation
    • Highly proficient with automation tools such as Jira, and test management tools such as Git, GitLab, CI/CD Pipeline, Appium, Browser Stack, Selenium, RestAssured, as well as coding languages like Java (preferably) and Python
    • Experience in working with "AGILE" process methodologies
    • Good interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with remote teams
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to understand complex technical barriers and find actionable solutions to them

The Insurance and Investment Platform is a new team being formed within Gojek’s Financial Services stream. Our collective goal is to shape the convenience of accessing insurance and investment products on our journey to provide financial inclusion for all Indonesians that resonates trust and reliability.
We are constantly figuring out new ways to prioritize easy access to financial products, like insurance and investments, with scalable integration for a wider range of partners in new verticals. The team will work alongside internal product teams within the Transport, Food, and Logistics domains (just to name a few), and with our third-party InsurTech, FinTech, and other partners in the financial sector.
