About the Role
As our Merchant Strategy & Incubation Lead, you’ll be an integral member of the Go-Merchant stream at Gojek. Based in Indonesia, you’ll have two main focuses: working with key executive GoTo leaders to develop the organization’s strategic plans and high priority agenda, and incubate new areas of growth to guide our steps forward. You’ll be presented with a unique opportunity to drive high-level strategic and operational roadmaps, take ownership of the new projects and initiatives you’ll enact, and help million of our merchant partners to grow and operate efficiently. In our humble opinion, the coolest part of this role is your ability to directly influence stakeholders by providing insights and recommendations on what the future business process of the team should look like.
What You Will Do
Work with key executive leaders to develop a short, medium, and long-term business strategy and roadmap, including key business metrics and financial forecasts
Provide comprehensive business and financial reports to C-level GoTo group stakeholders
Incubate and project-manage new strategic initiatives from ideation to operationalization
Co-create value with various stakeholders from GoTo ecosystem i.e. (GoFood, Payments, Commerce Enablement, Financial Services, Advertising) by providing insights and product enhancements
What You Will Need
At last 5 years of experience at a tech company, management consultant firm, in investment banking, private equity, or an audit firm
Strong structured problem solving abilities in order to identify issues, form hypotheses, and generate recommendations
Sharp analytical skills in order to gather relevant data/information (quantitative and qualitative), and develop and synthesize insights from this pool of data
Excellent project and stakeholder management skills to ensure all stipulated business objectives, priorities, and moving parts are met accurately and on time
Well-versed in financial and business modelling exercises
Excellent written & verbal communication skills focused on improving collaboration, understanding, and information exchange across all stakeholders
Ability to learn new things and adapt your priorities quickly within a fast-paced environment
About the Team
Our Strategy & Incubation team is a small family based in Jakarta, Indonesia. We work with key executive GoTo leaders to develop the organization’s strategic plans and high priority agenda, and incubate new areas of growth to guide our steps forward. We are predominantly concerned with helping our merchant partners grow their businesses and operate efficiently, providing the services, products and tools to see this through.
In the past, our team has worked on several strategic projects, such as developing an all-in-one software & hardware package offering for merchants partners (GoBiz+) to grow their sales & operate efficiently, as well as a go-to-market strategy for our hardware sales. Currently, we’re working on mid-to-long term strategic planning for Merchant Platform, and incubating foundational projects for future growth opportunities such as merchant wallet, advertising, and 3rd party app marketplace. Essentially, we work to position Gojek to be the most trusted partner for all of our merchant-partners and stakeholders.
