Job Purpose and Impact
APAC Container Lead will lead team to ensure efficient transportation of materials and products from origin to destination. In this role, you will apply the deep understanding of the assigned container/ ocean freight markets and their impact to develop and implement company container's strategy. You will lead our team to develop growth opportunities and expand the company's use of container freight. Key Accountabilities
Be a partner with internal peers to position the company to capture market opportunities and deliver savings, capacity and service levels required
Oversee the analysis of current transportation operations practices to resolve process and cost improvement opportunities
Develop and deploy the company's container vision and strategy for the assigned region, including capturing new container business opportunities and models for growth, developing new trade lane, derivative and index models, contract structures and third-party partners to increase the company’s book
Support the creation of global sourcing strategies for all contract negotiations, carrier selection and discontinuation of business with rate, freight, storage, shipping and contract settlements of multimodal carriers and storage facilities
Develop and share best practices in the defined region and ensure common processes and tools are consistently implemented and aligned with the company’s strategy
Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching, and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Confirmed knowledge in the container market and ability to translate that knowledge into short- and long-term strategies
Confirmed experience in leading the development and execution of a strategy in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders and interests
Minimum of six years of related work experience in container/ ocean freight transportation
Other minimum qualifications may apply Preferred Qualifications
Minimum three years of supervisory experience
Regional leadership experience
Ability to work well with global teams
Proven record of regional container/ ocean freight strategy development and operation management
Strong ocean container freight sourcing, price negotiation, business agreement management
In-depth knowledge and market insight of container/ ocean freight
Experience in air freight management, vendor sourcing would be advantage
Confirmed experience in other modes or intermodal transportation
Ability to work in Bangkok, Thailand as a main based, Indonesia or Malaysia is considered
