Summary:The work schedule for this position is:
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (4 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
The incumbent provides temporary office and functional coverage for Foreign Service National employees and performs short-term assistance for special projects or periods of increased work levels in any Mission office to which incumbent is assigned. S/He provides secretarial and administrative support to various sections, as assigned within the Mission. Percentage of time dedicated to each specific function may vary depending on the particular assignment but in general 70% of time will be spent on clerical functions (scheduling; preparation of correspondence, reports, memos, and cables; filing: shredding; handling travel arrangements: handling incoming calls; greeting and escorting visitors; and other duties of this nature.) 30% of time will be spent on special projects (i.e. assisting with planning/preparation; visitor lists for special events, and other duties of this nature.)
EXPERIENCE: at least a minimum of 6 months secretarial/clerical experience is required.
(Please note that one credited year of working experience is equal to 40 hours/week x 52 weeks or 2080 hours.)
At least 2 years (60 semester hours) university or college studies is required.

LANGUAGE: Good working knowledge in speaking/reading/writing in English and Bahasa Indonesia are required (This may be tested).
SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must be a quick learner and able to adapt to a variety of office settings. Proficiency with office computer software. Requires office management skills i.e. word processing, filling, drafting correspondence, etc. strong organizational skills with the ability to schedule, make travel arrangements, and coordinate projects.
