Your Opportunity

We are looking for a Manager People Operations to join and lead our team of HR Business Partners to be based in Jakarta, Indonesia. As a Manager People Operations, you will be a business partner to line management, managing the implementation and providing market-level support for human resources policies and management practices with the objective to ensure an effective workforce so as to achieve business objectives and maintain the FedEx APAC's Employer of Choice status. As leader of the Indonesia People Operations team, you will work alongside country Senior Leader to add value to our business and influence the company's People Strategy. You will also have opportunities to work alongside our Asia Pacific (APAC) HR Center of Excellence teams and the rest of the North Pacific & South East Asia (NPACSEA) People Operations teams on process improvement, digitalization, Employee Experience among other projects. Day to day, aside from participation in APAC HR Projects, you will be responsible to lead a team of Specialist to guide and on occasion upskill Managers in people related matters in order for those People Managers to be able to perform efficiently and effectively management of their team such as recruitment, performance management, managing disciplinary issues etc.
  • To be market focal point for overall People Operations Activities including implementation of talent acquisition, talent development, compensation and benefit and industrial relation activities and to lead a team of People Operations Specialists & Coordinator.
  • The role will support North Pacific & South East Asia People Ops organization in it initiatives such as in EVP review and revamp, Optimizing regional hiring practice, focal PIC for rewards and benefits etc. to represent People Operations in working with regional Compensation & Incentive Center of Excellence Team.

  • Regular interaction with First Line Managers
  • Regular interaction with Senior Managers
  • Regular interaction with Managing Directors
  • Occasional interaction with Officers (Vice Presidents and above)

Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent
  • Significant experience (5 to 10 years) in human resources
  • Change Management & Agile Project Management Experience Preferred
  • Strong business acumen
  • Experience working in a Matrix Environment would be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge in one or more Human Resource Areas such as Industrial Relations, C&B, Talent Management etc.
  • Experience dealing with Labor Unions would be an advantage

PEOPLE AND PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
Recruits, develops, motivates and manages the team performance. Provides guidelines, support and coaching to ensure that team members have the competencies, capabilities and tools to consistently deliver individual and team objectives. PLANNING Coordinates resources within team to ensure the identification and development of goals relating to business initiatives and activities within remit, and in alignment with regional, divisional and corporate goals. Ensures all factors and risks are accounted for in team planning, leads team in communications of initiatives and activities to key stakeholders and secures commitment. Finalizes and presents plans to senior management for approval. Supports teams inside and outside department in the preparation of more complex business initiatives, business cases or plans as required. TECHNICAL EXPERTISE Maintains and develops expert knowledge of relevant Company standards and external requirements (including international or regional regulations), and managerial areas, including excellent understanding of the internal and external business environment. Builds team capabilities to provides expert advice on complex or unique issues, which often includes exploring new, dynamic or innovative business opportunities and solutions. PROCESSES & PROCEDURES Coordinates and leads the design of process improvements, systems development or the implementation of best practice within area of expertise. MAXIMISING OPPORTUNITIES Proactively identifies and analyses business issues, opportunities and constraints. Evaluates and makes decisions on high impact issues (e.g. significant resource investments, business dependent systems or activities, revenue generation). Leads and sponsors the implementation to ensure results are realised. RESEARCH & ANALYSIS Supports department by conducting high quality analysis, issues recommendations and contributing to strategic planning, as required, in region(s) or division. Supports the development and communication of effective reports to key stakeholders, including senior/executive management. PROJECT MANAGEMENT Oversees team projects/initiatives within expertise in order to deliver results within time and budget. Supports the team using project management tools and processes to plan and control various project /programs. Leads and/or participates in the implementation phase of approved solutions. BUDGET MANAGEMENT Manages the departmental budget and takes appropriate actions in order to optimize costs and to remain within agreed parameters. COMPLIANCE Ensures assigned department activities are completed on time and effectively. This involves identifying opportunities to improve department quality and productivity, such as developing more effective ways of working that are consistent with internal priorities, policies, external regulatory and legal requirements, while also assessing potential risks to the department, project or wider business. ALIGNMENTS Builds effective networks relationships within own team and with key stakeholders across the business in order to achieve optimal business outcomes. Maintains external alignments with customers, relevant subject matter experts or external bodies as required. Represents Company in external organizations’
