Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

1) QUALITY CONTROL

  • Management of the QC Department performance.
  • Technical support on regulatory compliance and customer complaints.
  • Product & in process quality performance review and evaluation.

2) PLANT & PROCESSING

  • In process quality, statistical control and specifications evaluation.
  • Support for plant process and plant improvement focused on cost reduction and product quality improvement.
  • Checking of production facility change under MOC
  • Design and Validate production formulation, process flow, process parameter and product specification related to plant capability.
  • Designing of raw material, supporting chemical & packaging which suitable for plant and meet customer requirements.
  • Work with project teams for technical support and process flow design.

3) TECHNICAL SERVICE

  • Work with sales management to understand product applications and key attributes of products to improve sales value.
  • Work with product manager to streamline and optimize product range to deliver maximum market value and margin.
  • Customer support in terms of technical service visits: assistance in selection of correct product, advice in terms of application and handling.
  • Work with customers and sales in terms of any specific specifications and agreement on RPS: capability to develop business case with understanding of both value at customer and manufacturing costs.
  • Assistance in management of customer complaints, including external customer visits if required.
  • Develop training material, deliver training to sales management, customer service and market teams.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in oleochemical industry and technology: min 7 to 10 years; knowledge in Esters is an added advantage
  • Understanding of oleochemical technology, product attributes and product development knowledge: experience in plant and laboratory functions
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage people both internally and externally
  • Analytical skills: ability to frame scientific arguments in terms of appropriate checks and controls
  • Ability to translate complex scientific arguments into everyday layman’s language
  • Teaching and training skills
  • Work independently and also in a team
  • Problem solve and make decisions to meet customers’ needs whilst protecting company interest
  • Written and Spoken English and Bahasa Indonesia
