Job Overview

The primary responsibility of the Guest Experience Host is to care for all guests while they are on the grounds of Sanctuary at Desa Potato Head. This can include greeting, communicating, introducing experiences and interacting at a high level with every guest and working between departments to ensure all their needs are met plus going the extra mile to ensure their visit is a memorable one.

The Guest Experience Host should have a deep understanding of all Sanctuary experiences, so communication is clear with groups and individual guests to ensure our offerings are of the highest standard.

The Guest Experience Host will also be working closely with our Guest Experience Assistants, leading and encouraging them to reach the highest levels of customer service expectations such as greeting guests, hygiene and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Welcomes guests when they arrive at our facilities, maintaining a warm, caring, friendly demeanour to all guests and staff at all times. Hands the guests to the Guest Experience Assistants for the check-in process where a glass of water is provided by the Potato Head Bar team.
  • Welcomes guests to Sanctuary, gets them seated and explains the process prior to a session beginning.
  • Explains to guests how the process for their session will work and what to expect during and after the session.
  • Aftercare of guests after their session to ensure they feel cared for and free to speak about their experience if they wish to.
  • Manage the guests after their experience and whilst they are being served herbal tea to fill in a five-question experience form and write or draw their experiences or feelings on provided paper. These are for private use and purely for the guests if they wish to.
  • The five-question forms are to be collected and stored in a folder kept in the Sanctuary office area.
  • In-depth knowledge of all experiences and procedures.
  • Works with the when required to assess and prepare the Sunset Room within Sanctuary and to exceed and elevate the expectations of the group. This may be assistance with Mandala, Balinese offerings or similar.
  • Mentors and leads the Guest Experience Assistants as a first and last point of contact for guests.
  • Mentors and leads the Guest Experience Assistants on cleanliness and hygiene procedures
  • Takes some group Leaders or special guests on a tour of Sanctuary as required.

Qualifications

Strong, proven, facilitation experience, the highest level of customer service skills, interpersonal communication, teamwork, empathy, ability to work under pressure, positive attitude, initiative, high level of responsibility and accountability, staff training ability, and attention to all aspects affecting the area of responsibility.

Remuneration

  • Above standard hourly rate.
  • Three months probationary period applies.

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 6 - 20 per week

Salary: From Rp25,000 per hour
