Job Description

ELITE ASIA is looking to hire highly motivated and resourceful freelancer to join our linguistic team. Freelancers are required to complete assignments that meet our client’s specifications. To ensure your success as a freelancer, you should possess excellent skill in the following area:

  • Translator: fluent in at least two languages including your native language, accurately convey the meaning of written words from one language to another.
  • Transcriber: fluent in at least two languages including your native language, listen to live proceedings or audio and video recordings to create written versions of them.
  • Machine Translation Post-Editing: fluent in at least two languages including your native language, ability to post edit machine translation content to human translation quality.
  • Subtitling: fluent in at least two languages including your native language, by hearing you translate all the dialogue, music and sound effects of a video or script into written captions to appear on screen.
  • Proof-reader: fluent in at least two languages including your native language, review and edit content for spelling, grammar, punctuation, terminology, consistency.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in the service language pairs.
  • University/College degree in Translation, Linguistics or related area
  • Proven work experience as a Translator/transcriber/language service and/or similar role
  • Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
  • Good knowledge of content editing tools
  • Familiar with translation software
  • Perfect time management skills
