Practice Area Profile


What You'll Do


BCG Procurement Practice supports clients across industries and geographies on issues related to category strategies, implementation of value delivery programs, operating model and process redesign, risk and resilience, climate and decarbonization of supply chains, and digital procurement. We advise the largest and most ambitious organizations on their journey of building world-class procurement organization.

We are looking for Consultants and Managers for BCG Procurement Practice. The positions are opened in BCG Jakarta office in Indonesia, but the project assignments will be across the whole Asia Pacific and globally.

Consultant, broadly 3-7 years of experience in procurement, typically covers single or multiple categories by developing category strategy packs and executing sourcing initiatives.

Manager, 7-12 years of work experience, is viewed as a subject matter expert to stakeholders and has in depth knowledge of several categories. Manager typically leads the workstream or the project and is the first contact point for the team and the client.

Key responsibilities
  • Ensuring spend and contract data quality, clean up, and categorization
  • Processing complex spend data to identify value opportunities
  • Preparation of negotiation package and category strategies
  • Evaluation of tender results
  • Preparations of PPT deck and Excel spreadsheets
  • First client contacts at management level
  • Delivering solutions and results presented to client at managerial level.


What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)


Requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in working with large Excel files and complex data
  • Motivation and drive for independent work
  • Experience in multinational work environment is a plus
  • Degree from respectable international university is a plus
  • Professional certificate i.e., CIPS and ISM is a plus
  • Experience in Category Strategy Development is a plus
