Objective:

The key objective is to contribute to the company’s growth with high-quality and solution-focussed advice to the company’s business operations as well as hands-on contract management in solar PV and renewable energy in Indonesia.

Description of Job Duties:

  • Manages and coordinates all on-site EPC contractor activities for compliance with the schedule and monitors and enforces compliance with Contract requirements; Implements the Project Construction Execution Plan.
  • Monitors and reports on construction productivity and schedule performance to the Project Manager.
  • Provides general oversight that project construction activities and engineering are in conformance with the project specifications and the Project Quality Plan.
  • Ensure the implementation and training for the quality procedures and quality requirements of individual work activities.
  • Instill a philosophy that quality is the responsibility of each individual employee and will emphasize personal accountability for quality execution of the work.
  • Takes actions necessary to meet project budget and schedule requirements.
  • Directs and approves the development and implementation of EPC contractor schedule recovery plans as required. Coordinates the Construction Completion Walkdowns and the complete hand over of O&M packages to the O&M Manager and supervises the close out of all punch list items.
  • Review all site procured materials for acceptance.
  • Conducts weekly coordination meeting with EPC contractors. Conducts weekly EPC contractor meetings. Reports weekly schedule and commodity installation status to the Project Manager.
  • Monitors all extra work authorization requests, back charges, and supplier and EPC contractor progress/final payment requests for acceptance and is responsible for subordinates providing the timely tracking information to Project Manager to support the change management system.
  • Adheres to Safety, Quality, Ethical Standards, Lessons Learned, and Performance Management programs in accordance with Division Policies, Standards, Guides, and Contractual commitments.
  • Responsible for completion of the construction punch list. Has full knowledge of the safety program and acts as the Safety Representative on site in the absence of the regular Safety Supervisor. Has general knowledge of all disciplines of construction and is able to stand in for each discipline. Establishes the tool trailer list at the onset of the project. Resolves safety and quality issues with the safety and quality managers
  • Understands the major commercial and deliverable terms of the construction subcontracts and manages within these terms. Monitors and controls overtime by his subordinates and EPC contactor. Writes the construction portion of the client and construction monthly report.
  • Coordinates with the Owner Engineers or Design team engineers on engineering deliverables.
  • Demonstrate a professional demeanor and ensure all project personnel act professionally while interacting with internal and external individuals.
  • Responsible for communicating, collaborating and negotiating with the owner regarding major project decisions.
  • Work diligently to develop a personal working relationship with their owner counterpart and interact on a regular basis.

Experience Requirements and Skills

  • Familiar with Electricity laws, regulations and guidelines.
  • Familiar with PLN and other agencies/authorities relevant to Solar PV.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Other qualification(s): Safety, Quality (candidate to mention)
  • 3-5 years of working experience in construction, solar energy or related fields (i.e. industrial, utilities, power generation, renewable, commercial), experience with roof top solar power plants is a plus.
  • Must be able to communicate in fluent English and Bahasa Indonesia (written and spoken), high quality presentation and documentation skills. A third language would be a plus.
  • Excellent skills in Project Management, MS Office. Autocad, SketchUp, and Pvsyst or similar solar yield assessment software would be a plus.
  • Strong passion for renewable energy and want to ensure a positive future for the environment.
  • Willing to travel (local and overseas) as and when needed
