Job Description

  • Have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a content editor at an online media company. Deep experience in health or science media is a plus.
  • Familiar with reading and understanding scientific writings.
  • Strong Journalism background with proven writing and editing skills, exceptional organizational skills, and highly experienced in managing writers or reporters.
  • Have excellent, demonstrated editorial skills — creative concepts and ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.
  • Willing to work in flexible hours, including around midnight, for covering gadget and game launching events.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Oversee assignment and edit articles from reporters, contributors, and creative writers on Health, Science, and Tech desks.
  • Work closely with Editor-in-Chief IDN Times to help determine the content strategy.
  • Create and present a performance report of Health, Science, and Tech desks at the weekly meeting of IDN Times.
  • Manage recruitment, record performance, and calculate bonuses for contributors and interns in Health, Science, and Tech desks.
  • Arrange internal weekly meetings for the Health, Science, and Tech team of IDN Times.
  • Develop unique, interesting article ideas and concepts for Health, Science, and Tech desks. Validate that content follows established guidelines, company standards, and prescribed format.
  • Establish great communication, collaboration, and networking with the local community.
