Summary:

The U.S. Bi-Mission in Jakarta, Indonesia is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for position of USEFM Security Escort. The work schedule for this position is Full Time (40 of hours per week)


Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time (4 weeks) of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.


Supervisory Position: No Relocation Expenses Reimbursed: No Travel Required: Not Required

Duties

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:


The incumbent plans, coordinates, oversees, and provides necessary escort services for a variety of routine, emergency, or special maintenance projects in Controlled Access Areas (CAA) or other locations within Embassy facilities and grounds. Maintains a record book of all work performed within designated Compartmented Access Areas (CAA), Limited Access Areas (LAA) spaces to include workers’ names, ID numbers, time-in and time-out, description of the work performed and exact location as well as materials used. Ensures that all applicable Department of State (DOS) security requirements are met as instructed by the Regional Security Office (RSO). Ensures Facilities work crews follow proper safety procedures and use proper safety equipment as required. The incumbent is supervised by the Facility Manager. Incumbent must be a US Citizen, eligible for a Top Secret Clearance.


Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

EXPERIENCE: 2 years of working experience in office administrative task/ duties is required.


(Please note that one credited year of working experience is equal to 40 hours/week x 52 weeks or 2080 hours.)


Education Requirements:

Completion of two years of college, or trades school, or technical school is required.


(For non-US educational certificate/degree, please also provide US education equivalency certification/transcript)


Evaluations:

Mandatory: Level IV Fluency in Speaking/Reading/Writing in English is required. This may be tested.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:


Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance. Must be able to use intranet/internet and Microsoft Office applications; must be able to draft correspondence and cables; must be able to exercise discretion, tact and diplomacy in dealing with customers are required. The incumbent must be able to respond to emergency service needs in office management and security escort areas with minimum to no advance notice. Must be able to work under pressure by juggling a variety of urgent tasks and flexibility required. Must have a basic computer skills including operating systems, typing and connections. Electrical safety training, fall protection, first aid, asbestos awareness, mould remediation awareness, confined space awareness, supervisor due diligence. Must have the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with all levels of personnel. Must have a understanding of basic Computer skills and familiarity with the MS Office suite programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and the intranet and internet. Must be able to maneuverer a wide range of obstacles including walking over un-even terrain, climbing ladders, as well as be able to work on his/her feet for many hours. Must be able to independently organize priorities.

Benefits: Agency Benefits:

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Jakarta, Indonesia may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.


For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.


The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.

The certification letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and (2) the character of service.
