Evaluate the aesthetics and manufacturability of fabrics, as well as the end use in costumes as specified by Design.
Ø Recommend fabrics that support aesthetics, manufacturability, cost, safety and reliability.
Ø Discuss development and specifications with vendors and provide advice to meet these requirements.
Ø Provide technical information to the Design team.
Ø Approve all fabrics and trims
Ø Coordinate all fabric related issues during preliminary stage, pre-cost, development and production.
Ø Communication with all parties involved (team in USA and Hong Kong )
Ø Diploma or formal training in textile technology or garment manufacturing
Ø Familiar with the process of textile manufacturing
Ø Sensitivity to aesthetic issues of fashion design
Ø Minimum 2 years experience in same job function
Ø Good communication skills in written and spoken English
