US Based agency seeks freelance English (EN) to Bahasa Indonesia (ID) translators with recognized near-native proficiency in English.
Translators:
Key objective: produce an accurate, complete, and error-free (grammar, spelling, style) translation restituting the original presentation, meeting JPDS standards and best practices as well as readability standards:
1. Language skills: (i) Native speaker fluency in the target language (ID); (ii) Advanced proficiency in reading and comprehension in the source language; (iii) Minimum 5 years of documented translation experience; (iv) Diploma from a translation school or membership in a professional translator association; (v) Excellent writing ability such as acquired by formal studies and/or extensive reading.
2. Subject matter skills: (i) Minimum 4 years of post-secondary education and (ii) Familiarity with the terminology and concepts associated with either: macroeconomics, economic development, finance, accounting and banking, international trade, environmental management, social sciences , political sciences, education and public health, agriculture and rural development or, engineering fields, as demonstrated by a university degree or translation samples, complemented by references.
