Job Description

Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) brings together the Disney’s best-in-class product, technology, and commercialization teams together into one global organization. DMED is responsible for the P&L management and all distribution, network and engineering operations, sales, advertising, data, and certain key technology functions worldwide for the Company’s content engines. DMED also manages operations of the Company’s streaming services including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ and Disney+ Hotstar; and domestic broadcast and cable television networks.

Disney+ Hotstar is leading the way as one of the largest premium video platform in Indonesia. It is the dedicated home for streaming movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more. It is available on most internet-connected devices and offers a variety of original feature-length films, documentaries, live-action and animated series and short-form content. Alongside unprecedented access to Disney’s incredible library of film and television entertainment, the service is also the exclusive streaming home for the latest releases from The Walt Disney Studios.

This role will be an integral part of the Disney+ Hotstar team in the local market. This position will be lending support for proofreading and evaluating content metadata in native language and English. Excellent linguistic skills, movies & series knowledge, and attention to detail are critical attributes for success in this role.

The role will also be responsible for providing advice on implementation of programming plans, content merchandising and curation plans for Disney+ in Indonesia. This position will be responsible for providing assistance in coordinating all aspects of operational content workflows locally and manage all Content Management System related processes (metadata, layout, page editorial, thematic collections) with a focus to drive efficiency and timely execution of content plans.

This role will report directly to the Assistant Manager, Curation & Planning, Indonesia.

Responsibilities :
  • Provide advice on content metadata relating specifically to content synopsis, descriptions and keywords
  • Provide advice to ensure that metadata that has been created and formatted by third party vendors according to Disney's guidelines has gone through quality control and is ready to go live on the platform
  • Provide advice to ensure that metadata are in best presentation and relevant to viewers
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders on all Content Management System related processes


Basic Qualifications :
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Candidates should be fluent in English and be a fan of movies and series entertainment
  • Experience in localization content process, ideally in digital media and entertainment
  • Knowledge in The Walt Disney Company content library, brands, franchises, and characters that define them, and expertise to build further audience engagement
  • Strong collaborator with experience working with local, regional and global teams
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technology and constantly evolving organizations, and to thrive in an extremely fast-paced and high-pressure working environment
  • Adopts a challenging and questioning approach, proposing information and solutions in creative ways
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet competing deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Strategic thinker with good communications skills
  • Creative mindset with the ability to leverage on data to develop strategy/decisions
  • Results-oriented
  • Proficient with computer systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
