Drives the regional implementation of the Corteva quality management system (QMS) and ensures that quality policies, requirements, work processes, tools and training are implemented and effectively monitored and maintained.
Coordinates the consistent implementation of work processes, policies, procedures, for the quality management system in the region.
Provides team facilitation and leadership for cross-regional efforts that enhance our quality structures, efficiency, and effectiveness to deliver for Corteva functional stakeholders. Supports the goals and objectives of the Quality Leadership team.
Provides coaching and guidance for execute to win (E2W) and efficiency projects within the Quality Workstream within the region and with global initiative ownership.
Coordinate with R&D to identify and evaluate new technologies for purpose fit, efficiency, and return on investment analysis within the quality laboratory.
Responsible for regional reporting and global standardization of quality metrics, including incidents, with analysis and improvements identified and implemented.
If quality incidents occur, ensures that root cause analysis and corrective actions are followed and completed. Prepares learning experience reports (LER’s) for significant incidents to enable sharing and implementation of management system corrective actions. Conducts regional and site reviews of quality incidents.
Supports completions of quality management system reviews at the site level and drives improvement in the region. Responsible for the coordination of the regional management system reviews (MSR).
Effectively partners with Commercial, Crop Protection Manufacturing and Supply Chain, Seed Production and Supply Chain, R&D, and Regional leadership to meet customer needs.
Supports interregional analytical needs and troubleshooting with R&D.
Coordination of the regional audit plans aligned to the Corteva monitoring strategy to optimize global auditing resources, expertise and business risk prioritization.
Qualifications
Education:
Minimum of a scientific, agricultural, or engineering bachelor’s degree with equivalent in agronomy, engineering, chemistry, biology, or life science
Work Experience
8+ years total industry experience with direct experience in the agricultural industry preferred.
Experience with Quality Laboratory roles, Quality Management Systems, Seed or Crop Protection Production and Supply Chain preferred
Skills
Demonstrated ability to lead teams to ensure alignment with demonstrated objectives and company goals/policies.
Experience negotiating conflicting cross-functional and customer issues.
Experience negotiating for needed resources to result in win-win outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence outside the workgroup that enhance the performance of the teams.
An ability to think ‘out of the box’ to develop novel, creative solutions for quality assurance challenges.
