We are looking for a qualified Urban Designer to support the Masterplanning team in Jakarta.
About the role
This role will be based in Jakarta, supporting the development of our urban design capability; specifically, to significantly bolster our ability to shape city shaping projects from conception and planning through to delivery with a focus on Indonesia and Southeast Asia. This role will assist with growing the Cities business in Jakarta.
What will I do?
Ensuring that the various functions associated with this role are undertaken within required timeframes and standards and under minimal supervision;
May be responsible for the development, design and management of some projects. This will involve coordinating people, facilities and resources within tight timelines and in line with budgetary constraints;
Project and bid support for the urban design component of masterplanning, transit orientated development and city shaping projects;
Support the coordination of tasks and functions in collaboration with the Leaders;
High level of coordination of tasks and deliverables for both internal and external stakeholders;
Alternate point of contact for all persons seeking the Cities leader if not available;
Deliver high quality urban design at all levels.
What will I bring?
You will have an advanced degree in Urban Design and will have membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or have significant credit towards eligibility for membership.
You will have at least 5 years of experience as an Urban Designer on large multi-disciplinary city shaping projects, working on urban design in the public domain and masterplanning at city and regional scale in Southeast Asia.
You will have proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice and guidelines especially in Indonesia
