Sales manager for utility scale energy storage system in ASEAN region.
Development of sales pipeline of energy storage in ASEAN region and execution of the battery projects.
Main Tasks:
Take responsibility for financial performance to achieve agreed-on targets regarding net sales, contribution margin, and fixed costs.
Develop, implement, and monitor agreed sales strategies (including pricing implementation) and provide clear strategic direction to the sales organization.
Stimulate and develop market intelligence within the sales force to pursue market growth and deepen market penetration, e.g. attracting new customers, applications, and innovations.
Support the establishment of sustainable relationships with customer base and market influencers to understand customer’s true needs, emotional, and strategic interests.
Take responsibility for the overall sales process and coordination of interfaces to other departments / functions.
Contribute to the development of the business strategy by ensuring appropriate top-down and bottom-up information flow.
Enable cross-business collaboration and synergies to maximize BASF value.
Manage relations with EPC, Equipment Suppliers and other associates through all sales stages until effectiveness of the contract.
Demonstrate professional and / or disciplinary leadership of employees, motivation and coaching of sales teams, including management of virtual teams.
Take thorough responsibility for sales process and its execution, requiring understanding and managing the scope, stakeholders, and schedule while keeping all parties coordinated.
Developing new business and managing existing clients.
Develop territory prioritization plan with the Senior Sales Manager.
Target new and developing accounts for revenue expansion.
Place a priority on discovery and understand client needs and capabilities.
Be highly responsive to all customer needs with extensive knowledge of our products & services.
Turn project sales opportunities into closed deals and building relationships by becoming a trusted consultant to the customer.
Properly and thoroughly analyze client needs to develop tailored solutions.
Assist with quotations and feasibility, as required.
Work with your peers in other regions to share best practices, learnings, solve problems, and devise new initiatives and improvements.
Deliver feedback to product and supply teams to enable future platform sales.
Prepare quotation and propose our products & services to clients.
Minimum Education and Qualification Required for the Position:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree or equivalent in engineering or any technical discipline.
At least 5 years of B2B sales experience, especially in engineering and construction management in the power generation market, experience with utilities, project developers and EPCs as customers would be advantageous.
Strong verbal and written communication and being able to clearly present suggestions and ideas to internal and external parties.
Prepare, report and present sales status for Management Reviews.
Able to do frequently business trips (basically in ASEAN/ might require Europe and Japan).
Strong English language skills are required and able to speak other languages to communicate with Clients in ASEAN.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Strong PC and general technology skills (particularly full MS Office).
