Mission:

We have an exciting, career-defining opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager Mining, Minerals and Metals - Metals Processing which resides within Process Automation business in APAC. The objective of this pivotal role will be to partner with segment, line-of-business and zone leadership, to better understand our customers’ needs whilst driving the internal collaboration across teams to ensure positive delivery against growth targets while increasing market share and profitability.

Reporting into the PA APAC Head of Sales, you will be responsible to lead the Mining, Minerals and Metals - Metals Processing order intake targets, the growth plan, and drive the deployment of the strategy in the Asia Pacific targeted countries. You will work closely with the ecosystems of the MMM Segment, Strategic Account Executives, Key Account Managers and country organisations.

Specific responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Accountable for the MMM Order Intake target for PA in Asia Pacific.
  • Develop the growth plan of the PA APAC MMM business, focused on prescription, specification, pipeline generation and order intake.
  • Define a clear account strategy that embraces the full portfolio of Schneider Electric.
  • Take ow nership of customer issues and management of internal stakeholders to obtain right level of support for delivering the strategy and superior customer satisfaction.
  • Be the MMM expert to support the different countries pursuing MMM opportunities.
  • Develop and communicate end to end value proposition to the selected PA country organisation.
  • Develop and Manage the MMM project pipeline.
  • Map the MMM Customers and prospects.
  • Attend and make an impact in the relevant APAC MMM – Metals Processing Business venues to obtain leads and update knowledge of critical business and application issues.

What we expect from you?

You are a highly driven individual seeking to work with a value-based organisation whose solutions are leading edge. In addition, you possess the following relevant skills and attributes

  • Demonstrated experience in or with Mining Companies or Engineering Consultant/ EPC’s and related customer type
  • Demonstrable and extensive experience in the MMM sector as a provider of solutions and services
  • Knowledge or previous experience in complex solution selling & Industrial Software
  • Your technical and sales expertise will include innovative digital solutions relating to process automation, and optional energy management and energy automation hardware and software
  • You will be pragmatic, highly adaptable, and comfortable operating in a highly matrix environment which invariably presents ambiguous scenarios at times.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering. An MBA or related post-graduate degree is a plus
  • Business developer proven track record in growing key account businesses
  • Demonstrated financial and business acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presenting effectively and speaking publicly to senior executives.
  • Team player passionate and dynamic with the energy and ability to obtain alignment and work effectively across a complex global matrix organisation
  • Ability to travel in the APAC region and eventually globally to site locations and customer meetings as needed
