Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) brings together the Disney’s best-in-class product, technology, and commercialization teams together into one global organization. DMED is responsible for the P&L management and all distribution, network and engineering operations, sales, advertising, data, and certain key technology functions worldwide for the Company’s content engines. DMED also manages operations of the Company’s streaming services including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ and Disney+ Hotstar; and domestic broadcast and cable television networks.
Disney+ / Disney+ Hotstar is leading the way as one of the largest premium video platforms in Southeast Asia (SEA). It is the dedicated home for streaming movies and shows from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and more. It is available on most internet-connected devices and offers a variety of original feature-length films, documentaries, live-action and animated series and short-form content. Alongside unprecedented access to Disney’s incredible library of film and television entertainment, the service is also the exclusive streaming home for the latest releases from The Walt Disney Studios.
This role is responsible for the coordination and management of various Disney+ Hotstar Indonesia (ID) productions and acquisitions, working closely with the Senior Manager, Acquisitions and also the entire Content Team to ensure smooth and successful operations and delivery of multiple productions and acquisitions that meet Disney’s criteria in quality, specifications and creative benchmarks.

The role must successfully collaborate with production companies to provide guidance that enables producers to ensure that the quality specifications and benchmarks in assets and information are prepared and delivered correctly. The role will require strong collaboration with multiple teams across the company and strategic thinking to anticipate issues and set up workstreams for scalability.

Responsibilities :
  • Work with the Original Productions Team as well as Physical Production Manager, SEA/ID to refine the content production and acquisition processes and workflows, ensuring efficient and successful delivery into multiple operation systems.
  • Provide advice and guidance on creation and acquisition of high quality, entertaining and engaging content that exceed expectations for the local market
  • Guide multiple productions and acquisitions to ensure they are according to schedule and budget from pitching to post-production to final product delivery
  • Create and maintain robust relationships with production companies
  • Work with production companies on budgeting, scheduling, tracking deliverables and function to ensure smooth delivery of projects
  • Organize the vendor payments and setup for Original Productions and acquisitions
  • Ensure comprehensive and current technical specifications are communicated to and adhered to by the studios
  • Provide advice and guidance to ensure production and acquisition deliverables meet all quality and technical requirements for both production and marketing materials
  • Provide advice and guidance to ensure efficient and accurate onboarding of assets and information into the various operations systems
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to deliver production and acquisition projects that are on budget and schedule
  • Physical attendance, where needed and permissible, to various productions, to provide advice and guidance on the production and to ensure key delivery milestones are hit

Basic Qualifications :
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience with long form production and acquisition management both in the field and/or on a network/studio level for series and film especially in the area of asset deliverables according to high quality specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of subscription services and its competitive landscape
  • Strong understanding of media and content landscape
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment simultaneously supervising several projects in various phases of production and acquisition (from evaluation to production through delivery)
  • Ability to respond after hours for important, timely or urgent matters
  • Ability to be discrete and maintain confidential information
  • Understanding of content development including story structure and script coverage is a bonus
  • Understanding of the various production formats/genres/trends of the different SEA countries
  • Team-player who operates in a fast-paced team-oriented setting
  • Understanding of how to prioritize and respond accordingly while being an effective communicator
  • Willingness to continue learning to ensure understanding of current production process and gear
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Willingness to take educated risks and think out of the box
  • Self-starter and proactive with a positive disposition
