About the Role This role reports directly to the GoPay Marketing Head and works closely with all the other marketing team and Pod team to manage the overall GoPay marketing communication; particularly but not limited to creative and social media & content strategy, implementation and production to drive solid presence of GoPay brand in the internet world through our owned assets; i.e. IG, GB, YouTube, Twitter, TikTok and microsite. As a Head of Marketing Communication, you will be at the driver seat of spearheading the transformation of GoPay presence in digital - working hand in hand with our brand team in shaping the narrative for GoPay.
For this role, you are expected to have a knack for seeing the big picture while moving quickly. You are highly creative, analytical and detail-oriented with strong communication, relationship building and able to drive results.
What You Will Do
Drive the transformation of GoPay brand across our owned channel and creative development through:
Develop a strong brand presence and brand story through our social media and content strategy and implementation to bring GoPay tone and manner from just being playful to become meaningful, hence driving more user engagement, loyalty and advocacy.
Drive more thoughtful, strategic and stronger creative development across all GoPay assets to ensure strong value proposition and brand identity
Manage the creative and social media & content team (including 3rd party vendors and/or outsourcing individuals) including coaching and developing existing members and hiring and onboarding new members as needed
Work closely with the brand, product marketing, and research team as well as creative and agency partners to ensure that we are building impactful communication messages through our activities
Earn trust from internal and external stakeholders, manage multiple projects, and balance contending priorities in a rapidly changing environment
Effectively utilize data and research at the customer level to gain a better understanding of their usage behaviors, including impacts of current creative and content strategies and implementation.
What You Will Need
8 - 12 years of overall experience, and minimum 4 years experience in digital marketing, brand management, advertising, and other related fields.
Strong leadership qualities, be it towards people management as well as thought leadership thinking and presence.
Consumer driven mindset with strong ability to understand user insight and translate them into actionable strategy and plan
Able to roll up sleeves and get in the trenches as needed
You’re awesome at understanding user insights and translating them into strong creatives and content that resonates with the target audience. You do whatever it takes to understand your market, customers and competition better than anyone, and you’re strong at integrating this information into your creative and content strategies.
Passionate about building a brand by creating genuine, authentic and impactful content and creatives that able to evoke the users emotions as well as driving business impact
Comfortable with data and can harness it effectively to generate insights on your own. You know how to leverage data to make decisions and drive growth.
You’re biased toward action, are a great collaborator and are able to distill complex plans into clear and actionable tasks.
Strong project management and ability to manage multiple campaigns with eyes on details without losing sights of the big picture
You have a track record of driving highly effective marketing campaigns and product changes because you make users’ problems your own
You have a true passion for GoPay’s mission for financial inclusion across Indonesia
Have an interest in fintech and be willing to learn about the industry

Our Product Marketing team, a subsidiary of the larger GoPay Marketing team, consists of 40+ people based in Jakarta who are experts in product marketing, branding, social media management, and content creation. This is a very close-knit group who ensures Gojek’s overall infrastructure which enables sustainable business growth is solid and healthy.
We like to visualize ourselves as a bunch of Spider Men/Women securing webs across high-rise buildings so our GoTroops can move around on higher levels with ease. We take the time to understand the various needs and preferences within our Gojek ecosystem (consisting predominantly of our customers, driver-partners, and merchant-partners), rely on numbers and data-points, and build off what makes our products unique in order to formulate our market strategy and path forward as a team.
