Mercure Bali Sanur Resort, features 189 guestrooms in 41 Balinese cottages with thatch roof, located just 20 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport, the hotel is tucked into peaceful corner of Sanur. We are currently seeking a passionate & experienced Assistant Executive Housekeeper to lead our dedicated Housekeeping Team.


What you will be doing

  • Oversee and direct the delivery of cleaning services in the hotel with direct responsibility of rooms and all public areas
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Housekeeping team to achieve a cohesive and effective work group
  • Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and hotel security compliance
  • Monitor labor costs while ensuring effective scheduling and department productivity
  • Conduct checking rooms for VIP upon arrival
  • Cooperate with Engineering Leader in preventive maintenance programs
  • Maintain all guest rooms, public areas and heart of the house areas, ensuring that the highest standard of cleanliness is met
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the department and ensure service standards are followed
  • Assess, review and analyze guest feedback and implement corrective actions to improve scores especially in Housekeeping department.
  • To be responsible for the laundry, linen, and uniforms within the hotel maintaining cost efficiency, stock control and service delivery to guests and internal operations.
  • Managing accounting and purchasing activities within the department in strict accordance to budget guidelines

Work Experience

Your experience and skills include:

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Have the ability to prioritize workload assignments
  • Good Leadership, Communication and Interpersonal skill
  • Ability in responding a variety of work situation
  • Be physically fit and is able to be active for most of your day/shift
  • Be well organized, detailed orientated and address tasks with a sense of urgency
  • Being team player that contributes to and assists co-workers without being asked
  • The ability to deal with guests complaints and staff conflict in a professional, fair and calm manner
  • Computer literate: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word/Outlook/Excel.
  • Purchasing and inventory skills is an asset
  • Having minimum 1 year in Assistant Manager position or 2 years in Supervisory position
