Job Purpose

To provide end to end responsibility for all Logistics activities (Warehousing and Transportation) by allowing maximum operational flexibility according to customer service, quality, HSES and cost targets for the geographical cluster of IMSP (Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore & PNG)
To lead the Logistics outbound operations of all BU’s for IMSP Cluster, ensuring the storage and distribution of products from the factories to the warehouses & to the end customer locations are managed in a safe & compliant manner, delivering the right quality product and service at lowest cost.
Support and align to the business strategy of all BU’s in IMSP cluster to drive the “Growth & Deliver” agenda under logistics function- both short term and long term
To manage owned resources and outsourced suppliers to ensure that they can deliver businesses requirements as well as to anticipate resource for business growth.

• Responsible for the management of the Logistics budget (costs, quality, service & HSE).
• Ensure all business logistics requirements are understood, documented and met (includes Operating manuals, legislation, regulations & HSE requirements)
• Development & Implementation of Logistics improvement programs
• Contract manager for all 3rd party logistics services covering the provisions of warehousing and transport, including invoice approval
• Ensuring timely and accurate availability of reports, metrics and databases required to manage logistics costs and service
• Responsible for deployment of the standardized Logistics processes

Key Accountabilities

• HSE-S Management:
• For Warehouse: responsibility for management of Finished Goods Warehouse both inside own manufacturing facility & external 3PL warehouses, maintaining 5S, HSES, Gemba, BBS.
• HSES & Sustainability: Establish a culture and build processes in logistics to meet the HSES & Sustainability goals. Target zero injuries with implementation of LSR, BBS, PSM & other initiatives driving the site HSES improvement plans.
• Warehouse Management:
• Overall management and supervision activities of FG Warehouses including inbound FG, storage, outbound both inhouse & external 3PL warehouse as per standard operating procedures.
• Maintain the FIFO for Warehouses through ERP system, and control inventory levels by conducting periodic stock physical counts; reconciling with data storage system to maintain stock accuracy and minimize variance. Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies and ensure inventory and system records are in agreement. Keep track of slow moving and obsolete stock.
  • Transportation Management:
• Transportation management for both local and export, ensure that shipments into or out of an organization are handled quickly, safely, and within budget constraints.
• Drive a culture of Continuous improvement to meet key targets on OTIF and cost; to formulate and implement transportation-related procedures as well as company revenue goals and customer service objectives
• Manage performance of service providers with emphasis on productivity, efficiency, and service delivery.
• Maintain knowledge of regulations related to transportation including those related to hazardous shipments, employee safety, and freight classifications.

Key Activities

• Export management
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations/customs regulations working in close coordination with the Regional Trade compliance (Impex hub) team.
• Ensure timely complete Customs Liquidation to get back import/export tax.
• Manage the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost-effective and lawful execution of all import/export activities.
• Communicate with export and import and related authorities, and customers and suppliers, to ensure efficient, positive and lawful relations, support and activitie

• Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.
• Set departmental objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports.
• Reporting and Continuous improvement
• Continuous improvement through ALPS deliver: Development & Implementation of Logistics daily improvement programs under ALPS- deliver through lean, six sigma and other best practices. Being CI Lead practitioner, train other team members to drive logistics improvement projects.
• Ensure timely and accurate availability of Logistics MIS reports, metrics and databases required to manage logistics costs and service
• Ensure metrics, reports, and process documentation is available; Interpret trends and analyses and review data. Provide meaningful logistics data to others in the organization to aid customer service and cost improvements

Experience

• 10 + years of relevant work experience (operations, logistics area), Bachelor degree (degree related to technical, business or economics fields most applicable
• Experience & knowledge of warehouse management & transportation
• People management
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills, able to identify and structure issues,
• Experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, TPM
• Project Management skills
• Financial acumen with strong analytical skills.
• Strong influencing & Communication skills, Fluent in English, both verbal and written
• Good computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint,)
• Job will require limited travels within the cluster country
