Overview of job

GroupM is the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for an KOL Management Lead. The role will be responsible to drive the development of content/influencer marketing business as a form of service or product for clients as well as a tool to support the growth of digital business for GroupM agencies.

This role reports to the INCA Lead part of GroupM

Measures of success


In three months:

  • Lead and manage the KOL Management team to deliver timely and good quality KOL Planning, Implementation and report for clients and agencies
  • Review current data partners/ vendors and propose new partnership plan
  • Analysing the effectiveness of direct influencer spending and propose a strategy to optimise supply across clients
  • Be proficient on usage of all our tech for influencer selection and operation (content approval, boosting, live reporting)
  • Develop a plan to achieve your KPI


In six months, you would have:

  • Implemented new partners/vendor strategy to drive competitive benefit for new pitch and increased INCA/Groupm profitability
  • Implemented new direct supply strategy with established relationship with selected KOL and special deals to drive competitive benefit for new pitch and increased INCA/Groupm profitability
  • Implemented and put into operations 2 new services (nano & boosting) in collaboration with country lead and MD
  • Established good relation with internal and external stakeholders
  • Educated team about INCA tech usage and the advantage of it


  • Would remove those 3:
  • Build a good relationship with priority KOL
  • Manage to have a good deal with the priority KOL
  • Propose a new standardization output of KOL Management by using INCA tools


In 12 months:

  • Be identified as the indispensable player in the industry for brand partnership
  • Recognised as a thought leader on influencer practice across APAC and established at least 2 cases studies with support of country lead and MD
  • Identify the progress of effectiveness of direct influencer spending/cost
  • Structure and manage the team to reach your department goal
  • Oversee and train KOL Management team to develop core competencies
  • Establish good solid relationship between departments and between agencies


Responsibilities of the role:

  • Assume ownership of the campaign or project related with influencer marketing.
  • Identify, develop and drive long-term strategies based on fact-based analyses
  • Determined scope of work for a project and deliverables
  • Determined the effectiveness of Influencer cost
  • Provide updates to the executive teams
  • Support Account Management and Agencies Strategic Planning process during pitches or annual recommendation

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years relevant experience in advertising agency, PR agency, social media agency or influencer marketing agency.
  • Strong analytical skills and possess a strong ability to turn data into actionable insights
  • Have a good understanding of Influencer marketing ecosystem
  • Have a good understanding of how to develop insights for consumer, trends, industry and competition
  • Have a good understanding of the digital marketing industry and social media technology.
  • Able to lead a team or a business unit and work with minimum supervision.
  • Able to read, write and speak in English effectively
  • Able to work in a highly multicultural environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
