Develop, implement, and direct the food safety systems, quality assurance procedures, and environmental control programs. Provide insights and expert guidance on process improvements specific to food safety and quality control
Develop the guideline, provide strategy and oversight across all company facilities to ensure that appropriate food safety and quality controls are in place. Oversee the monitoring, verification, and inspection processes to ensure end to end product handlings meet the designated food safety and quality standards
Collect, analyze, and report consumer feedback and compliance audit results on weekly and monthly basis, responsible to provide expert recommendation on the corrective and preventive action plans to maintain compliance
Partner with related stakeholders to ensure buy-ins and commitments to quality assurance and food safety programs
Lead the integration of quality assurance and food safety processes into consolidated process, including HACCP, regulatory audits, quality system review process, standard operating procedures, inspections, product scoring, food safety audits, field audits, and standardized working instructions.
Develop and administer trainings for critical food safety and quality requirements, document and maintain training registry for all relevant stakeholders
Manage all food safety and quality compliance interactions with customers and consumers, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree (Master’s degree or higher education is a plus) in Food Safety, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, or other science related field is required
HACCP Certification from a nationally / internationally recognized and accredited HACCP training firm required
7+ years of progressive food safety experience, with at least 3 years in a management capacity
Thorough understanding about the food safety regulations
Proven ability to make accurate analysis of food safety and quality systems, potential risks, and non-conformances; experience conducting audits; experience with risk assessment
A proven track record of effectively hiring and managing a team that has led to successful outcomes, strong systems and processes
Demonstrate leadership in the areas of food safety, facility regulatory, and Quality Assurance
Must have strong organizational, leadership and communication skills
Excellent analytical problem solving and corrective action/resolution skills
