Job Description:

The HR Geo Services FT Supervisor is responsible for overseeing HR processes within their scope of responsibility. These resources track and monitor delivery of HR services that require close physical proximity to business operations and act as a escalation point for any HR issues arising at the facilities under their purview. The HR Field FT Supervisor will work closely with Field Directors and other stakeholders (Service & Process Mgmt., ER-Investigations, etc.) on any lapses in service delivery or escalations that require additional attention.

Roles and Responsibility

Overall

  • Responsible for the successful delivery of HR Services in the geographical scope of responsibility (ex. Talent Acquisition, Reporting & Analytics, Compensation Administration, Employee Data, Learning Administration, Performance Management, Employee Relations, and Exit & Leave Management, etc.); responsibilities may vary by geography depending on local complexity and BPO coverage
  • Accountable for overall performance of local processes and adherence to set standards; review SLAs and other key performance indicators of service delivery across specified geography
  • Escalation point for concerns (Employee Relations, inquiries, etc.) from Admin, Specialist, and PT Sups across specific geography; expected to resolve HR matters and escalate those that require senior leadership decision making
  • Executes on recommendations from HR Shared Services teams to elevate services and continuously improve service delivery throughout geographic scope of responsibility
  • Develops relationships with and acts as point of contact for key business stakeholders to express concerns with regards to delivery of HR services and other HR matters (any concerns that fall outside of HR service delivery should be redirected to the appropriate HRBP and support team)
  • Monitors compliance concerns related to federal, state, and local regulations
  • Collects data and informs HR Geo Services Manager, Service & Process Management Team, HRBP, and other key UPS stakeholder in the event of lapses in service delivery
  • Shares feedback with HR Geo Services Manager on areas of concern (ex. Absenteeism) and effectiveness of HR processes for the review and modification of HR processes and procedures
  • High degree of integrity, confidence, self-awareness and respect to others
  • Implements HR strategies and policy changes from the HR COE with assistance from Geo Services HR within specified geography
  • Oversees the implementation of employee engagement and recognition programs for the geographical scope of responsibility in accordance with COE defined strategy and policy

People Responsibilities

  • Resolves individual and group performance issues in accordance with UPS’ policies and procedures in a timely manner to motivate and foster teamwork
  • Coaches, provides on-going feedback and support to improve performance of HR Geo Services team
  • Manages Geo Services HR scheduling, travel, and spend to ensure adequate coverage against budget

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2-3 years of experience
  • Prior field HR experience preferred
  • Experience working with computers and HCM systems
