Maintain Company inventory, production control and the processing of in-bound and out-bound production to facilitate the efficient operation of the organization.
Run the month end process for costs and ensure all deadlines are met.
Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close.
Create, review and monitor internal controls.
Provide guidance on cycle count schedule.
Work with warehouse staff to revolve count variances.
Participate in Bill of Material (BOM) set up, maintenance and review for manufactured items and prepare cost estimates for new products.
Update standard costs in the bill of materials.
Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
Ensure that products are set up accurately in the accounting system and are categorized in the correct product line.
Provide guidance to the business of the coding structure and accounting processes.
Accumulate and apply overhead costs as required by generally accepted accounting principles.
Work with the FC to locate, dispose of, or establish reserves for obsolete inventory as needed.
Conduct ongoing process constraint analysis.
Report on margins by product and division.
Report on periodic variances and their causes, focusing in particular on spending variances.
Create cost accumulation guidelines and assist in implementation of Orchestrated Beer ERP system.
Provide commentary and analysis of costs against prior periods and latest forecasts.
Understands and analyses product cost variance
Controls inventory including evaluation of product cost, bill or material accuracy, period physical inventory, etc.
Coordinates with Purchasing, Materials and Operations Management on issues of product cost.
Establishes standard overhead rates.
Establishes standards of control over material and finished goods movements.
Analyzes Profit & Loss variance and reviews detailed revenue and cost transactions. Conduct research and resolve all the inaccuracies in inventory through complete audits of the internal processes
Make necessary inventory and cycle count adjustments
Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with the operations team.
Prepare reports, such as inventory balance, and shortages, and monthly reports for cycle count
Maintain complete/accurate inventory levels within the MRP system while developing management KPIs to highlight performance
Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of accounting/finance experience with cost accounting, or a minimum of 3 years of experience in non-durable goods manufacturing environment.
BA/BS degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
Knowledge of internal controls, cost accounting methods, and cost modeling tools and methods
Orchestra/SAP Business One experience a significant plus
Must be able to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis.
Strong team player able to work across multiple functions and disciplines and lead by example. Project management skills are a plus.
