Corporate Communications Partner. Reporting to the Access, Communications and Healthcare System Value Strategy Lead, the successful person will be responsible for affiliate communications strategy in Indonesia, with a heightened focus on external communications, to create impact and

advance Roche’s positioning and reputation as a Healthcare Solutions Provider and partner of choice.


Key Tasks


External Communications


Corporate

  • Develop and implement an integrated strategic communications plan (including use of digital channels) to advance Roche’s identity in alignment with Roche’s vision and strategic priorities
  • Assess and develop strategies for effective engagement to raise awareness and strengthen our reputation among key external stakeholders in indonesia. Cultivating and enhancing meaningful relationships with these stakeholders, including but not limited to patients, the media and key influencers
  • Actively participate as member of OneRoche communications team, to leverage Roche’s unique positioning as a Healthcare Solutions company
  • Provide communications counsel to teams with a focus on high-value, impactful communications
  • Oversee prioritizing media opportunities, coordinating with the appropriate participant to organise, and prepare talking points, speeches, presentations and other supporting material. Serving as spokesperson, as required, on media interactions that help promote and/or impact the organisation
  • Prepare high quality briefing materials for authorities, audiences and senior internal stakeholders
  • Responsible for crisis and issues communications
  • Actively engage, cultivate and manage press relationships to ensure coverage surrounding Roche Indonesia events, public announcements and other projects
  • Manage third party vendors including public affairs and communications agency
  • Leverage synergies across the broader Pharmaceutical and Diagnostics organization to maximize resource utilization and eliminate duplications, develop a shared purpose by aligning on key areas of focus, and ensure a collaborative way-of-working between affiliates
  • Provide support in the absence of other communications function
  • Develop plan and manage corporate social responsibility program


Environment Shaping

  • Advance Roche’s profile and seek opportunities to demonstrate Roche’s value as a healthcare solutions provider
  • Co-create to deliver on vision to redefine partnership across the healthcare system to advance patient outcomes and deliver innovative and accessible care to all.
  • Collaborate on policy shaping strategies to ensure they are communicated with maximum impact and in keeping with environment shaping objectives
  • Partner with the Healthcare System Partners, Patient Journey Partners and teams working with patient organizations, to develop patient advocacy and to tell the patient’s story. Recommend appropriate tactics for effective engagement to raise awareness and strengthen our reputation with Patient Organizations
  • Support outreach to policymakers, non-profit organizations, industry players and key thought leaders and other entities and play a role in bringing an “outside in” perspective to the internal team
  • Partner with the wider biopharmaceutical industry on communications and advocacy activities that help to build the industry’s reputation as a key player in Indonesia healthcare and the value it creates for patients and society
  • Adopt a partnership approach and identify collaborative solutions-seeking opportunities when it comes to external engagement and environment shaping initiatives


Leadership and Strategic Communications

  • Partner with the General Manager and Enablement team regarding leadership communications, change and engagement strategy and tactics that inspire employees and enable employees to act as ambassadors for the work they do and the impact the organization has
  • Develop a leadership narrative with the goal of driving employee engagement and affiliate-wide understanding of strategic vision, pillars and outcomes.
  • Coach and support internal colleagues to develop messaging and communications plans that help advance strategic priorities and initiatives.
  • Manage leadership and strategic communications editorial calendar.


Compliance / Monitoring

  • Take personal responsibility for maintaining high ethical standards and operating in compliance with local and global Roche policies, the Roche Group Code of Conduct, Quality Management System and the IPMG Code of Practice for the Pharmaceutical Industry


Person/Skills Profile

  • Skilled Public Affairs practitioner with Graduate qualification at Bachelor's level minimum, Master’s degree ideal
  • Experienced Communicator with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Communications
  • Strong knowledge of the Indonesian media and political landscape, including a passion for current affairs
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to facilitate communicating complex information clearly internally and externally
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • A self-starter with demonstrable ability to plan both strategically and tactically and to effectively prioritise tasks
  • Experienced Project Manager to coordinate project delivery perhaps requiring managing of third party inputs to time and budget
