Job Description

  • Scheduling and coordinating work to tight deadlines with effectively leading and managing of post-delivery phase and assist in various activities as required on the full range of Weir Minerals Comminution Equipment.
  • Ensuring that equipment installation and commissioning is done to required specifications
  • Creating and carrying out commissioning checks and test
  • Investigating problems and diagnosing and repairing faults
  • Troubleshooting
  • Liaising with different stakeholders as required
  • Supervising and training of customer staff on site as required
  • Writing reports and documentation
  • Providing technical support during warranty period in order to minimise warranty exposure
  • Ensuring safe working conditions
  • Training off maintenance and operative staff where appropriate
  • Making improvements and offering advice about operational procedures to maximize the client output and strengthening the relationship
  • Ensure adequate and consistent approach to resolve issues and escalation as required
  • Maximize Variations from site where possible for site support and spare parts lead generation
  • Facilitate for all project requirements in a timely manner by monitoring and expediting through installation and commissioning and pulling through various resources as required from service teams and third parties for effectively closing the job
  • Maintain & improve professional relationships with company customers, ensuring honest & open lines of communications
  • Inter and Cross-Departmental communication is a challenge within WMA given the wide geographical spread of the organisation.
  • Weir Group processes overarch WMA processes and must be adhered to all times.
